Barceló Bávaro Palace - All Inclusive

Property was large and decent, impressed how the beach is combed. Soft sand, mature palm trees. Bavaro Beach was the highlight. Negatives - pools can use some repair, not enough bar tenders at the pool bar for the crowd. As others have mentioned, staff do not seem particularly friendly. Restaurants were not great, service was poor. Worst part, $150 stolen from teen's room (no not just sitting out in the open, had to completely go through her bag). Filed a complaint, nothing they could or would do. Teens also scammed at mall sunglasses store on the property. Clearly taking advantage of the youth. Mini fridge not replenished regularly, completely without bath towels 2 evenings after cleaning. Had to wait over 20 minutes for them to bring some. You might want to find a better place to stay.

The staff were not very friendly. I get there was a language barrier but no one even explained the amenities, how things work around the resort, no the times when the restaurant/ pools open. The far walks to and from the rooms were dreadful and we were never advised about the shuttle that runs through the resort which would have helped take the edge off on some of the walks. Our sheets smelled like mildew and so did some of the elevators. The restaurants require reservations, so when we arrived we tried to make reservations for every night to get ahead of things, but we were advised that we could only make reservations one at a time. Which we later found out was not true, as the next day we scheduled reservations for our next 2 days there and they said the Japanese restaurant was booked up for the next few days. And for many of the restaurants, they only had late reservations and the staff were extremely slow causing people to fall asleep at the table because we are all so tired. In all, the resort has potential if they were friendlier, cleaner and if staff explained the amenities.

This resort is huge and well mantained! Food is great! We liked Kyoto, La Brisa and Mexico Lindo restaurants. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff is welcoming, helpful and service oriented. It is a family resort with a kids pool, bowling, teens club… Your family will love it!

The resort was amazing and the people/staff was super friendly. Definitely a vacation for the books. I will be booking again with the same hotel I booked. Overall, my stay was an 1000/10. Super happy!

From all the times i’ve been to Punta Cana, this by far is the worst, terrible service, hotel shouldn’t been rated as a 5 star resort definitely. We would never come back, there is never reservations for dinner available, nobody wants to help and they work with no motivation. Horrible.

Huge resort, love the spa. But food is just ok

I had an amazing trip overall, it was my first vacation with my partner,But during our stay, we dealt with, Staff hanging up the phone, calling us name whenit seemed like we didnt understand, and multiple blackouts(not their faults, it was raining every night).Plus due to the blackouts it was hard to make reservations.Overall the resort was beautiful, there is a shopping center 10 mins away From property, and it was worth the trip.

Beautiful and big hotel,but the food was ok and if you can get a reservation in one of the restaurants you have to go to the buffet and personally I don’t like the buffet for dinner

Beautiful location. Hotel is nice but the rooms need to be updated. Beach and pools are very beautiful.

We did enjoy the resort and its surroundings. The kids enjoy the pool that wasnt too deep. Just the perfect depth. Its the food we didnt like too much. Most of the food we had was very salty. The variety of food was missing at the buffet and the salami i had was cold. Most of he waitresses at the buffet werent too attentive or courteous like other resorts we have been to before.

upon arrival, I discovered a serious bed infestation including a visible trace on the bed sheets and matress. This situation poses a significant health risk and falls far below the standars of cleaniness and safety that Expidia commits to provide throughts its listings. We contacted the lobby for assitant an the personal refuse to change our room, they offer us to put Baygon to kill them but they said that they dont have any other room available, of course was a lie. After 45 minutes speaking with diferent people over the phone ,asking for the hotel manager that never showing up , and they never said their name or the manager . we got a new room . The customer services is very poor .
