Grounds were beautiful and facilities were in good condition. Lots of space and options for guests. Service was not always friendly or prompt. Property was large and while walkable it was a long, hot walk. They have trains and carts to help with transportation but at least half the time they do not stop at the designated stops even if they have plenty of room.

First floor rooms very heavy moldy air. Not easy to book a dinner restaurant, less restaurants for that resort. Concierge never answers on the phone even if you have paid extra for level rooms.

Overall it’s was ok. The beach club and the pool are great areas. The food is not the best but it’s all inclusive, they need to improve on their food handling and cleaning process. Some staffs are very friendly and others are not. Overall the rooms need some maintenance.

All in all the melia caribe resort was very good . The service was exceptional , especially from Reynardo Sanchez. He was awesome with his service. Rooms might need a little more of an upgrade

Muy mala experiencia, el check in muy desorganizado, poca variedad en el buffet, en cuanto al transporte dentro del hotel, estuvo pésimo ya que hay que trasladarse muy lejos, y solo hay un tren que hay que esperar unos 45 minutos para que pase , hay otros carritos pero estos no suben a todos, solo a los que ellos le pareciera, la mayoría de los huéspedes estaban indispuestos por esta situación.

We had an excellent stay at the Meliá Hotel. Even though the hotel was quite full and there was a long line at check-in, the staff was incredibly kind, diligent, and professional. We hadn’t booked any special services like concierge or VIP access, but we were treated with great courtesy and attention.
The front desk team was especially helpful—they even created a WhatsApp group to stay in touch with us in case we needed anything during our stay, which was a very thoughtful and practical gesture.
The hotel itself is large, clean, and beautifully maintained. While it is an older property, it has charm, and everything looked well-kept. Since the resort is quite big, distances can be long, but they have little trains to help guests get around, and the staff driving them were also extremely friendly.
We spent a lovely Sunday at the beach, where we rented a shaded beach bed, which provided great comfort and shelter from the sun. The beach waiter who served us was very polite and attentive throughout the day.
Dinner was decent—not exceptional, but good—and we were pleasantly surprised to be offered a free late check-out of two extra hours, which we truly appreciated.
Overall, we had a great experience, felt well taken care of at all times, and are grateful to the hotel for their hospitality. We would definitely return.
