Chiverton House

The room was tiny so it was a bit difficult to have two suitcases in it. Maybe shelves instead of the closet would be more workable for couples. The bathroom was the smallest but most functional I've ever had. Alan was really helpful with the map to find the best places about and tide table for visiting St Michaels Mount. Would definitely recommend it.

Very easy to find; friendly, helpful proprietor; good sized room. Just right for our needs :)

Easy check in and checkout. Room was ideal for me and my 7 year old for a couple of nights. Not too far walk from the train station, about 15 minutes. Parking quite tricky but possible if you keep going round until you find a space. The owner’s instructions were very clear, we didn’t even meet them over the two days but got in and out fine.

Fantastic location. Clean. Friendly. Fridge in room. Big family room. Promenade 1 minute walk. Good local amenities. Quiet. Comfortable.

I wouldn’t have booked if I had known breakfast isn’t served here. Better places including breakfast at a lower price than Chiverton house Wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend They don’t respond to emails either.

The top floor room I had was just perfect for my 2 night stay. It was spotlessly clean, comfy bed, lovely linens and soft towels. A great place to come home to after a day of sightseeing. The house is very quiet (apart from the Seagulls lol!) and you’ll receive a very warm welcome. It’s close to the seafront and a 15 minute walk from the railway and bus station. Tea and Coffee provided and I was thrilled to find a Gideon in the nightstand.

We had a very nice experience at Chiverton. The host is really good. The stay is 15 mins stay from the centre, bus and train station. We can reach thr by walking alongside the beach. Worth for the money with all the essential facilities including a small fidge. Definitely visiting again...

Cosy little room on the top floor. Comfortable and met my needs perfectly. Located just a street back from the promenade, and handy to town, supermarket, and a walk along the seafront.

Everything was good, well organised, easy parking. We just found the bed much too soft.

Alan met us with a smile when we arrived, very helpful. The room was clean, well serviced and comfortable, stayed 2 nights before catching the ferry to IOS would definitely book again.

Room to small, stairs to steep. Surprised after booking no breakfast. (Owners brilliant) Room very clean. If l were in better shape i would definitely go again.

Nice and clean, even though this is listed as a bed & breakfast please be aware no breakfast is included. Tea making facilities are included but would have been nice if water made available to make tea or coffee, you may need to bring your own. The road is not busy and just a turning away from the beach. Hosts were very nice and friendly and helpful.

Lovely place, nice host. Can have a very good rest and sleep after whole day travelling.

A guest house located in a lovely old house 10 minutes walk from the centre. We had a room at the back, which was comfortable enough, but was a little small for us given we had luggage for 2 weeks. Shower was excellent

Perfect place to stay for a visit to Penzance

We had an enjoyable overnight stay before we caught the ferry to the Scilly Isles. The room wasn't huge but it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The hosts were friendly and helpful.

Do not stay here. Rooms are tiny and overpriced. Owner/ host is weird and invasive. Just a nightmare.
