Brilliant value - super clean room, very comfortable bed, nice bar and restaurant, conveniently close to two railway stations, convenient supermarket just round the corner. All in all a perfect stay.

The staff at The Leonardo are always incredibly professional and courteous, and that was the same this weekend. There was an issue with the tv remote in my room which was dealt with immediately. My room was absolutely spotless and with nothing out of place. The cleaning staff obviously take pride in their work and should be aplauded for it.

Some of the staff was a bit rude. When asked for an additional pillow was told "we don't have any. The hoyel is full so we'd have to take them from other rooms". The room was cold, the AC controls were locked, and replaced with a space heater. The carpets appeared dirty.

Im afraid my stay wasnt as good as in the past. I have often used the hotel on my way home from Gatwick airport. The welcome at reception was lovely. Breakfast was still from 0630 to 1000 but only hot food from 0700 to 0930. When I got to breakfast around 0930, there was bearly anything left at all, I had two slices of toast. The coffee machines werent working properly, and I saw a family turned away even though there was plenty of time left. Not sure I'd visit again.

Easy access to East croydon trains to LGW and London.
