When you see reviews that say 10/10 Exceptional, half of you doesn't quite believe, the sceptic in me certainly didn't. But I was blown away by this hotel. Chris and Caroline were exceptionally friendly, the Hawkstone beer was a treat and breakfast was superb. The hotel was immaculate and Ideally located for town. Perfect. My only disappointment was that they are fully booked for when I return in September.

I had a wonderful time at the Ravillious, Eastbourne, the service was friendly, warm, good food and conversation, I had a lovely room for 2 nights and enjoyed a fabulous breakfasts.

Lovely place run by a lovely couple. Cleanest hotel we have stayed in. Service was excellent aswell. Cant really fault anything.

We had a fantastic stay at Ravilious – Chris and Caroline are warm, welcoming and helpful hosts. It was the perfect base for exploring Eastbourne and the surrounding countryside. Our room was spotlessly clean, stylish, and very comfortable. Breakfasts were outstanding with so much choice, including vegetarian options, and all beautifully prepared and delicious. We also really appreciated the local restaurant recommendations, which were spot on. We would highly recommend a stay here and hope to visit again soon.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this charming, family-owned hotel in Eastbourne. From the moment we arrived, the owners made us feel incredibly welcome — they are warm, kind, and absolute masters of hospitality. It's clear they truly belong in this industry. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and their passion for providing a great guest experience shines through. The highlight of each day was the breakfast — it was nothing short of professional-level quality. Beautifully prepared, delicious, and served with care. You can tell they take great pride in what they do. If you're looking for a place that feels like a home away from home, with top-tier service and genuine heart, this is it. Highly recommend! Doubt there is better place to stay in Eastbourne. Absolutely spotless. Wonderful breakfast. Great hosts. Ideal for Conference centre and LTA.

We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay at the Ravilious more. The hosts were very welcoming and a wealth of helpful information for hikes and restaurants. Breakfast was delicious. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

Cannot say enough good things about Ravilious, Definitely one of the best smaller properties we have had the pleasure to stay in! (And we travel a lot) The hosts are fantastic & friendly with great knowledge of the local area. Breakfast is a real treat and do delicious with great choices. The Bar is excellent too and Chris makes the BEST cocktails. The Building itself it beautifully and the inside has been really well designed and decorated. If you are in Eastbourne this is the place to stay. a real treat.

Hosts were wonderful and so friendly, knowledgeable about nearby restaurants/walks etc. The breakfasts were superb, hygiene & cleanliness out of this world. Would give 10 stars if available! Had a lovely weekend Thankyou 😊

Wonderful place to stay within easy walking distance to shops, theatres and beach.

What a gem of a boutique hotel! Perfectly located in a charming part of Eastbourne, it’s just a short stroll from a fantastic selection of quality restaurants. Caroline and Chris are truly exceptional hosts—warm, welcoming, and full of great local knowledge. The rooms are beautifully appointed with top-notch quality and attention to detail. And the breakfast? Absolutely outstanding. There’s something for everyone: from fresh fruit, cereals, and yogurts to overnight oats and a full English breakfast—all delicious and thoughtfully prepared. During our stay, Caroline and Chris shared great tips for exploring the area, including the best hiking routes along the Seven Sisters and must-visit spots around town. This boutique hotel is an absolute must-stay—you won’t be disappointed!

Love staying here. Always a warm welcome on arrival. Rooms are fantastic and breakfast is just the best. Couldn’t recommend this hotel any higher.

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our short stay at Ravilious in early April, 2025. Chris and Caroline make all their guests feel so welcome and were so helpful with local knowledge and dining recommendations. The Hotel is superb….a lovely traditional Eastbourne property but with all the modern accessories you could need. Breakfast was delicious freshly cooked food and with so much choice. Parking near the hotel is so easy - either in the free parking or if needs be using a daily permit. Thank you Chris and Caroline….we can’t wait to return.

Chris and Caroline are the best hosts. We stayed the wonderful room 10 which was so relaxing from beginning to end… especially with a morning soak in the huge bath with the sun pouring in! Thank you for such a lovely stay.

You couldn't wish for more from a guest house. So welcoming. All that you require in a recently, high quality, refurbished room. Brilliant breakfasts. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. Sorry it was for only one night!

Absolutely wonderful stay. Room was beautiful, with added bonus of sofa and reclining chair making the room a home from home. Excellent position 5 mins from seafront and Congress Theatre. Wonderful breakfast, lovely bar area for a night cap if needed, Chris & Caroline are perfect hosts, warm and friendly. Can not recommend highly enough.

Lovely residence, very helpful and rooms are well presented. Would stay here again foreshore.
