Clean, quiet room with a pleasant bar / breakfast room. Air conditioning was much appreciated during the recent heat! Staff were helpful. Self check-in didn't work but the staff checked me in quickly.

Extremely comfy beds in a very quiet room (I requested this on special requests and was not disappointed!). Towels etc were super clean, good air con, nice bottle of water & good large bathroom. Coffee machine outside of room so did have to get dressed just to get a coffee but really not a problem. Handy it was self check in & out and we could leave luggage before & after our stay. Good location too near Aldgate East station & Tower Hill, not rough.

I will first say that the staff was friendly, but couldn't really fix a problem we had. I know European rooms are small and typically not well air-conditioned. But the use of space in this small room was ridiculous. It had bulky wooden structures that didn't allow much space to set down items. We had to place items all over the floor. It was decorated with weird garden hoses with lightbulbs that didn't provide much light. The AC cut off during the night, which was torture during a heat wave. Our room had a weird sewage smell. We asked the staff to spray the drains, but that didn't help. Our adult son had his own room and he didn't have this issue. So maybe just a problem with our room. The bar staff was very friendly! And the location is great. A ton of Turkish bakeries and pizza shops. It's close enough to touristy things and cool neighborhoods, making it a great walking location. Honestly, if the room just used the space better and our room didn't smell like sewage, we could have looked past the AC turning off. We stayed in a smaller room in Switzerland, but the use of space in that room made it feel like a much bigger room than we had at The Corner.

It's a great location for the city, close to the Tube, plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby too. The room was large, certainly comfortable, and effective air conditioning (it was a hot day). There is a good bar/restaurant on the ground floor. Completely automated check-in and out.
