We had a lovely stay. Staff friendly rooms comfy and plenty of choice for breakfast. Easy walk to the harbour and sea front. Will definitely stay again.

We have been staying here for a few days for quite a few years. It’s a sentimental journey for me, as I spent the first 8 years of my life in Folkestone during the war, from 1939 - 47. The hotel is beautifully situated, with all rooms giving a sea view. Over the years it has been renovated, and brought up to date. The rooms are warm, welcoming, have clean comfortable beds, and constant hot water. But the staff are its biggest asset! Welcoming, helpful, friendly, and any request is fulfilled if at all possible. The lovely receptionist, Philippa, even ran out to guard a parking space, whilst hubby rushed to get the car! The whole place feels so welcoming, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else!

Nice hotel but room was very hot and walls very thin. Air con unit didn't work properly and slept very badly.

Very clean and comfortable in general. Room was lovely and the coffee machine was a nice bonus. Restaurant was average considering the price.

We recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, had a less-than-pleasant experience. While the rooms appear stylish in photos, they lack functionality. We booked the "Suite with 2 Princess Beds," and while the beds looked charming, a major issue was the smoke detector placed directly in the middle of the room. Its white and green lights flickered every minute throughout the night, making it nearly impossible to get any restful sleep. The hotel doesn’t have its own parking, only a few public bays outside that are mostly occupied. Hotel do offer permits for £8 per day, but if you move the car and lose space then you have to go find parking elsewhere. The quality of toiletries provided was very poor, so I would strongly recommend bringing your own shampoo, conditioner, and other essentials. The cushions were odd and extremely uncomfortable. Housekeeping was also disappointing. Although someone had made the bed, towels were not replaced and the tea bags and drinking water weren't restocked. To top it off, our water glasses were mysteriously moved into the bathroom, which felt quite unhygienic. On a positive note, the location is good. But given the number of issues we experienced, we won’t be staying here again.

The room was very spacious and perfectly decorated, very clean. The staff were really polite and the location was excellent. Would have preferred breakfast to last a bit longer (finished at 9:30) but we were advised of this on check in.

Lovely hotel, super friendly staff, really comfy bed, nice shower, all perfect! Little walk to Folkestone central, but short walk out the front door down the beach, which was gorgeous.

Excellent location, walkable from the train station. Some trouble checking in & room wasn't as described but was sorted out the next day. Most staff were on the ball and very congenial. Food was excellent, afternoon tea was delicious, highly recommend the tea salon in the main restaurant. Lovely area, very historic and close to shopping and dining for a nice walk.

Had a brilliant time. The weather was glorious, hotel was beautiful. Had a cosy double and was perfect, even had a sea view! Bed was comfy, shower was excellent Good value fof money. Even left us an anniversary cake in the room. Will definitely come again

Very convenient for town, beautiful walks along The Leas. Hotel very clean and staff helpful. Room on top floor, corridor very narrow for large luggage and floor in bedroom uneven with a slope so if your elderly or unsure with your footing could cause a fall, but ok once you remember it’s there. But really enjoyed my stay

An excellent stay. We had dinner in the Marco Pierre White steakhouse which was lovely. Our room was clean and comfortable with a good view of the sea. Breakfast was of a very high standard and the service provided both for dinner and breakfast was excellent.
