If you are looking for an elegant, historic, clean yet simple stay then this is the hotel for you in Winchester. The old building is beautiful inside and out. The staff are very friendly and also very helpful. This was the first time we were travelling with our 4 month old baby and the staff were very accommodating (all staff were but the name Lynn is the one I remember) and helped us store our pram safely without havingto carry it up the stairs several times per day. Great hotel all round, well done and will 100% stay again.

The hotel was nice and clean. Some of the features within the room could do with updating. The TV was connected to the WiFi which is a nice touch, as most hotels have this feature disabled. Parking was limited, meaning we had to find some elsewhere.

Loved Winchester. What a pretty town. Hotel well located and the staff were fairly pleasant, but that’s where it ends. We were allocated a tiny room, poor quality duvet, boiling hot - even with the radiator off, fan on and window open. 3* bathroom. Odd hotel. Given the price, we definitely wouldn’t return.

The room wasn’t the one we paid for we asked for a deluxe room and got a double room. Parking was awful. The room was very hot but you couldn’t open the window open completely, I’ve never had a fan on in December. I just felt disappointed for the amount we paid.

Very disappointing with our room. It was in the annex, at the end of a dark corridor, window overlooking the car park and a brick wall. Lovely white towels, but very small shower. Bathroom floor was dirty, dust on all skirting boards, toilet brush dirty on the top. Their cleaners need to give it a jolly good clean. Room smelt of drains, told reception on leaving.

A lovely hotel right in the town easy walk into the centre for the museum, cathedral and Christmas market. Food was nice but a bit expensive. Car parking was a nightmare. We arrived at the car park for the hotel and it was full. We waited an hour and I went to reception to say we can’t get parked and I was told that if we had waited over 20 minutes we were going to get a parking ticket. We were then told there was an overflow car park which we were lucky to get parked in as I needed a disabled bay. Luckily we didn’t use the car whilst staying at the hotel so we didn’t have the same parking issue. Once we got to our room there was a qr code to scan for extra information. There was a map where the overflow car park was. I asked reception why wasn’t the car park info e mailed to you before arrival and was told it does if you booked direct. Surely all guests should receive this info before arriving. Four other cars had the same problem and waited for a long time to get parked.

Nice hotel, convenient for town centre, room was nice overlooking garden - except there appears to be a fan/machinery unit ? above room which makes annoying humming noise in evening/early morning (didn't notice during night). Requested wake up call (0600hrs) as had early morning hospital appointment - sadly did not receive call but fortunately managed arrive in time.
