Check in with the manager Nathalie was great. She was very kind, welcoming, and so helpful. I arrived early in the morning and was upgraded to a large room with a balcony, which was nice bc I spent three days getting to Calvi. The hotel is very safe and the restaurant offers a stunning view of the sea, while the kitchen staff were professional. I didn't actually have breakfast but had a snafu on arrival that required a visit to the dining room, which is really quite beautiful. I would imagine waking up to dine there on a sunny day to be a nice way to start the day in this beautiful city. The location can NOT be beat: mere steps from the station, the citadel, the port...you cannot go wrong.

Overall excellent! Beautiful hotel, very clean and 2 min walk to the beach. Friendly staff and exceptional view of the mountains. We loved it.

Let us be honest you cannot find a hotel in central Calvi for this price. Well, situated in the middle of everything close to the beach. The hotel, though is really rundown. The walls need a fresh coat of paint, new furniture, some proof rooms. And the cleaning wasn’t done well. You cannot use the air conditioner because of all the dust you can see in it. Not healthy. Service was friendly. But again, for the price, you cannot complain.

This hotel is located in the perfect place for so many of the restaurants and bars. It’s very close to some of the attractions of Calvi also. Even better if you do not have a car with you as parking is complicated.

Upon arrival (with 2 giant luggage bags) young receptionist in glasses introduction was, “Do you need to use our bathroom?”
No, I just spent about $500 for a room here.... otherwise breakfast was delightful with a great view, room service was good and location was great.

Great location in the city center, just a block away from the harbor and all the restaurants, bar and stores. The beach and the médiéval part of the city are also walking distance.
The reception manager was super nice however the receptionist that checked us out was not professional and rude.
The view from the rooftop is great.

It was inexpensive. We'd paid for a room with a balcony. There was no balcony. We were told, "You'll like the room we gave you."
The Grand Hotel must have been very GRAND in the 1930's, judging by its staircase, dining room on the ground floor and the breakfast room on the 5th. Unfortunately, it has been allowed to age. The rooms had been "remodeled" but with cheap workmanship in the closets, the bathrooms, etc. Basically, it is old and noisy.

V. pleasant stay. Very big room. Friendly employees on reception. Good air-conditioning. Top notch location. The only small criticism is that some of its grandeur is a bit faded. Certain features could do with upgrading e.g. the shower was of the hold-in-your-hand variety.
