Holiday Inn PARIS - GARE DE L'EST, an IHG Hotel

The room was a decent size but the building has a lot of renovation going on so we couldn't find the lift when we arrived and the guy on the door didn't indicate that we could use one. But it is handy for the station

NH is in the High rates per night. However they are not renewing the bottles of water nor coffee after the first day. We stayed 4 days and where told that they charge if we want some more... we found this a bit cheap to say the least..for a hotel of that cetegory ! On the good sides, personnnel was top notch and room very clean and the subway was litterally at the front door

Was not aware that the hotel was being renovated and ended up in an unrenovated room. Carpets really bad and bathroom beat up. Beds and linens were ok staff were nice breakfast standard fare Would not recommend until they’ve done renovating

The renovated room& view of the Eiffle Tower were great. The staff was helpful given the lobby renovation.

Rude staff! Had a to make a complaint… the hotel is under renovation, I wasn’t told upon booking! Do not stay at this hotel!!! Nightmare!

Expensive Wasn’t made aware hotel was under renovation very noisy lifts not working

My room was really small. However, it was just me, so that wasn't a big deal. The room was on the 8th floor, which was really cold at night. The heat had only three levels, and the highest level didn't do anything but make noise. I needed an extra blanket to survive

Good hotel for the weekend in Paris, under going renovation which we were aware.

The hotel is in the middle of construction, very complicated for guests to move through the hotel and no planning. Staff was very helpfull and that was the best part of the experience.

The hotel was undergoing renovation so we had to go upstairs to reception and that was not ideal Not too friendly but the room was great and check out was easy but the receptionist sent us the wrong was for a bus annoying but these things happen

Kind staff & good service

It’s a great hotel, but it’s currently being renovated so the main exit is via a fire exit which means climbing stairs - which isn’t easy while tugging around luggage. Also one of the lifts was out of order, which meant relying on one lift for all customers and staff to use so wasn’t exactly the quickest. The sink in my parent’s room was filthy as well. I have no complaints about my room

The main problem was that the entrance level was being re-constructed, and the lifts were not generally availlable at this level. As we are seniors a door was unlocked for us and there was a lift up to Floor 1, were there was a temporary and very crowded Front Desk. The check-in took a long time as the staff did not seem to recognise my husbands Cartre de Sejour. The rooms were clean and the staff up to their usual good standards, as was the breakfast area. I wish we had known about the building work and chosen another hotel more suited to our needs, as the pricing was too high considering the problems at the entrance level. We have frequently stayed at this hotel, but this time it was frustrating.

We were not informed by Hotels.com that the hotel is under construction. Definitely not up to NH experience or standard. We knew it was previously a Holiday Inn but was branded as a NH, very disappointing. Things like very poor drainage in the shower, bathroom door is extremely heavy & difficult to open. The room was too small, almost no room to walk around the bed.

There were restaurants nearby and the subway station is just right in front when you get out of the hotel. Very convenient location and will definitely stay here again!

A busy area but close to canal and other attractions. Couple of great restaurants
