I love the area of the property and chose it based off this - sweet, quiet street of st germain and 2 blocks from the metra, perfect location. Upon entry, the lobby was updated, clean and desk person super helpful. But the rooms were quite outdated, I was surprised compared to the lobby and photos in the listing. I found many shops and restaurants nearby to enjoy but there is a pub across the street and a futbol match was on and the crowd was in the streets chanting and shouting until after 2 A.M. I faced the street on the 5th floor and it was very loud, waking me up several times. If you stay, assure there is no match on that night.

Nice hotel. Duplex suite with modern kitchenette/bathrooms/towel heaters. However, drapery/top linens/carpet looked dated/maybe dingy. Great location with nightlife, restaurants, slightly more upscale than Latin Quarter area.

The hotel is in a great location and street has no street traffic just pedestrian. Near Luxembourg garden which is beautiful.
The service was nice. They ironed my clothes upon requesting an iron.
However, I let them know I paid for this hotel for an engagement and requested a single bed, but it was two twins put together and the beds had an odd “m” shape where the middle was uncomfortable. The hotel asked which would I prefer I requested a singular bed. Not worth the money at all. It was so much money for very little value as the room was not as charming as the photos and the window overlooked an industrial building backyard.
Also, if you come at night from drinks or dinner a bit late they don’t tell you there may not be anyone to let you in and there is no code/key to get in. We banged on the door until they let us in, which is a ridiculous way to get back into the hotel.
