Booked this hotel two months before going. Very decent price especially considering it's pretty much in the city centre. Rooms were clean, a bit small but I was expecting that in Paris. Service was great and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was available for a small additional price but we didn't opt for it this time around. Only downsides were no air conditioning and creepy Mona Lisa watching me sleep, though this was helped by sleeping with my back to the picture.
I would come here again in the future.
This reasonably priced hotel is about half-way between Gare du Nord and Gare de Lyon - about 35 minutes walk from each using the paper map from the hotel check-in counter. A small, clean, friendly, older hotel, with good beds, an elevator, and optional breakfast, it is near many cafés, restaurants, bakeries, small food stores - and close to the spectacular (linear park) Blvds Richard Lenoir and Jules Ferry (with a canal). Nearby Metro (line #) stations at Oberkampf (5)(9), Goncourt (11), Parmentier (3), Couronnes (2). Wifi is best in the lobby.
