I would definitely stay here again, it was such a great location to catch the ferry from Cherbourg and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We checked in quite late, around 7pm, parking and taking my dog were no problem, it was all so easy and in an incredibly impressive historical building. There is a restaurant in the hotel which we didn’t try and also quite a few other places to eat within the town. It felt very safe and quiet.

Our plane arrived late and we had significant issues getting a taxi or Uber to the hotel. I called the hotel to ask about checking in later and they said get here before 9 pm or be locked out. We were not able to make it and there were no vacancies within 40 miles. My sister and I ended up sleeping outside because by the time we got to the hotel no one was there and no one answered the phone. We also did not get a refund for the night we slept outdoors. The hotel is not accommodating to unexpected travel delays. I would strongly suggest booking somewhere else or making sure you can 100% make it before 9pm.

As it was late January we were the only guests. After about an hour there were also no staff at the hotel, so we were alone until someone came in to prepare breakfast. This felt very strange and uncomfortable. We would not stay there again.

This hotel has been a firm favourite of ours for a number of years, and continues to be so, however, parking is now not permitted in the grounds of the Chateau and it is necessary to park in the town square, which has a major detrimental affect on the attraction of this hotel.

Stayed here with my wife, on our way back to Cherbourg to catch a ferry. Service was pretty patchy, as I was initially assigned a standard room, having paid for a higher level room. I had to go back to reception and fight my corner with a receptionist who initially suggested I was just looking for an on-the-spot upgrade. Luckily I had my hotels.com confirmation, so they had to put me in the correct room. Cleanliness was not perfect, but bed & pillows very comfortable. Parking in the ground is now an issue, and again, I had to fight to be allowed to leave the car in the car parking area in the courtyard. I have been staying in this hotel every year for the last 6 or 7 years, and despite the change in ownership 2 years ago, the uplift in the hotel standard has not kept up with an initial improvement. Really not sure if I would stay again, but the location is exceptional.

A characterful property in a pleasant village. It is within easy reach of all the places we wished to visit - e.g. Mont St Michel, the WW2 beaches, Bayeaux etc.The restaurant is particularly evocative and the dinner served there was excellent. Without exception the staff were efficient and courteous. This was our second stay at the Chateau and we certainly look forward to staying again in the future.

Extremely cool old building with renovated modern rooms. Rooms are large and quiet with great blend of the old and new. Staff were super friendly. Parking right out front. Nice with fridge in room. Only down side was that with only a few guests on a Sunday night the restaurant was not open for dinner.
