We liked this hotel a lot but our rating would have dropped considerably had the heat wave not broken the day we arrived. The hotel does not have air conditioning as promised in the Expedia listing. The hotel does not claim air conditioning in its own promotional material so it must be a mistake on the part of Expedia. Fortunately the drop in nighttime temperatures allowed us to leave our bedroom window wide open and sleep comfortably in this quiet corner of Erfurt.

The receptionist said they don't have a room for us although we had booked about 2 months before arrival! They did not even properly apologize and made the excuse that they didn't have a number to call me! They could obviously contact me through hotels.com What a terrible place. It was raining hard and they told us to go to a hotel 5 mins walking distance and they didn't even offer help ( we are a family with baby)! Some hospitality businesses are failing and this hotel is probably one of the them!

Our hotel experience would have been better were it not for the rudeness of a male worker. I have nothing but praise for the young lady who worked at the front desk but the man who refused to give us his name or title (he could have been the owner for all we knew) was definitely not suited to the hospitality industry. I question whether this should be a 4 star hotel, the facilities were basic. We stayed for a couple of nights during the recent heatwave. The hotel does not have airconditioning so we asked for some fans. We were told that there were only 2 fans (in a hotel with 50 rooms) and they were both in use. We suggested they got some more as we were occupying 3 rooms and one of our party was unwell. This man rudely repeated that there were no more fans. Eventually we did receive fans in all 3 rooms we had booked but this left a very bad impression on us. In addition having told us that the restaurant was open for lunch and having read in the hotel guide that it would close in half an hour we went to have lunch only to find the restaurant was shut. All-in-all not a pleasant stay.

Great newly built hotel in a village very lose to downtown Erfurt. Very convenient and a great value. Excellent breakfast selections! There was a wedding party. Sound insulation was so good you did not hear the music once you closed the door to your room.

Rooms very small and basic (We paid more for plus-comfort, but they told us that all rooms are the same, which was simply not truth), restaurant kitchen closed at 10 (we were told on reception that it is working till midnight) breakfast was OK,but service was bad (We were waiting for 40 minutes for omlet).Re eptionist could not give any recommendations for restaurant (only recommender inside restautant), no information on directions. Internet did not work.

To avoid the hassle of the city, this hotel is a great choice. It has a bus stop right in front to get into town, the ride taking about 20 minutes. The hotel is located in a small village, now part of Erfurt, there is absolutely no noise to disturb your sleep. I received a warm welcome, lots of info how to get into town and help to log onto the fairly fast WIFI. My room was exceptional but could have done with some toiletries at this price range. Breakfast and restaurant meals are very good and reasonably priced. There is acres of car parking space, in all a very good choice and highly recommended.
