Mercure Rhodes Alexia Hotel & Spa

I paid extra for a suite expecting a quieter, more premium experience, but unfortunately this was one of the noisiest hotels I’ve stayed in. My suite was on the ground floor with a terrace overlooks a construction site one side and a strip club the other, with construction noise throughout the day. The private terrace and plunge pool were also in such a windy spot that they were unfortunately unusable for most of my stay. The main swimming pool was literally right next to the road with the construction site opposite. Noise was the biggest issue. The hotel is next to the a party street, so there are people shouting and screaming in the early hours. Inside the hotel, noise carries from reception into the corridor as there is no door to separate, in addition my room was opposite an office, meaning I regularly heard phones ringing and doors slamming. Housekeeping staff were also shouting down the corridors from around 7am each morning. On the positive side, the location is good, just a couple of minutes from the beach, surrounded by good restaurants, and within easy walking distance of both the Old Town and New Town. The room itself was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the complimentary minibar drinks were a nice touch, and housekeeping did do a great job keeping the room clean. Overall, the lack of peace and quiet seriously affected my stay and my sleep. I was very glad I packed earplugs, but even with them I struggled to get a decent night’s rest.

I had a great experience at the hotel - the staff were super friendly and helpful, the hotel was very modern and clean (in fact, the whole property was spotless) and they followed my request to be put in a room with sea view, which gave me the best morning views when I woke up. Also worth mentioning the hotel was a stone's throw away from the quieter side of the beach which was ideal for me. Loved it and would definitely stay again!

Parking was not an issue, with help from staff. Beautiful room clean and comfortable Quiet great nights sleep. Exceptional breakfast

The hotel staff has always been extremely helpful in my many stays at the Alexia over the years and the location of the hotel is excellent for walks to the ancient city and is very close to the Aegean for those always perfect sunsets.

Hotel staff were very helpful. The room was nice and bathroom clean. Unfortunately our balcony never received any sun due to another hotel being very close behind. There is a building site across the road which starts work early every morning, this was loud, dusty and dirty.

This was my third year in a row staying at the Alexia and it has always worked perfectly and is an excellent base of operations for seeing the new and the old fortified city. Many fine and interesting restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The huge buffet breakfast is always nice and a good way to start another pretty day in Rhodes.

Swimming pool opening out onto the road was not the best design

Meltem she’s the best guest relations ever , made me feel at home , also special thanks to Angie , Alexander , Nikita’s from front desk for their 5 star service , highly recommend this hotel.the mentioned names became my family for my stay. You can basically walk to the beach it’s a few meters from the hotel even to the beach bars and old town

Great location lovely hotel staff were great rooms comfortable and spotless 2 things that stopped me from giving it 5 stars : Rooms need to be better soundproofed as it’s close to a strip and VERY noisy on an evening And secondly the gym wasn’t open in a weekend in the hotel

Location, location, location.. just wow.. I highly recommend this hotel.. You can’t go wrong and the The decor is very contemporary and right up my alley. Do yourself a favor book it you won’t regret it

This was probably the best hotel I've stayed at over the many trips to Rhodes. The room was very nice and had balcony and there was an excellent big buffet breakfast. I was not troubled with noise which is mentioned in other reviews. The location was perfect for walking to the old Crusader era fortified city.

Sauberes Hotel und sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Gute Lage und schöne Zimmer, jedoch sehr ringhörig. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet.

Otel merkeze yakın,otopark imkanı var,asansörleri çok küçük,odada kart ile ilgili bir temazsızlık var klima çok iyi soğutuyor fakat odada pike yok üzerine çarşaf örtmek zorunda kalıyorsun üşüyorsun klimayı kapatıyorsun yanıyorsun.

Oda her gün temizlendi. Kahvaltıda her gün aynı menü çıktı. Onun dışında merkezi konumda olması, otel önünde araba bırakmak için geniş bir alanın olması tercih sebebi olabilir. Burada otopark gerçekten büyük sorun. Kaldığımız oda denizi de görüyordu. 3 kişilik bir oda için biraz küçük olsa da Rodos görülmeye değerdi.

Très déçu, si le service et le personnel fût exemplaire, le week-end a été complètement gâché par les travaux incessant de l'hôtel d'en face. Du matin au soir, du marteau piqueur, empêchant de s'installer sur le balcon ou à la piscine. De plus, le matelas est indigne d'un 4 étoiles. Je sais que les travaux ne sont pas de la faute de Mercure, mais si j'avais su qu'ils avaient lieu je n'aurai pas réservé dans cet hôtel.

Personnel très attentionné et service impeccable, mais il est important de savoir qu’il y a un énorme complexe hôtelier en construction juste à côté. Le bruit du chantier est extrêmement gênant et les clients devraient en être avisés. Piscine trop petite pour un hôtel à pleine capacité.
