The staff was very friendly and the location is prime in Budapest for sightseeing and dining. The breakfast for $14 euros per person is top notch and the hotel dinning area is beautiful so you notice you are in Europe. The coffee is the best I tried in the whole trip that involved 5-6 hotels in different Central Europe cities. The bar is also very lively and the servers were really nice. They also have an adjacent parking for a fee.

The hotel is located at a very great location. It’s easy to access by public transport. The hotel is clean and very nice. The hotel restaurant is also amazing.
Overall I would recommend and would love to stay at the property in future.

Staff at reception very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They gave us detailed instructions about how to get from A to B by metro, by train and by bus. The room was large and modern. The windows opened and we like that. The air conditioning can be easily controlled by the guest. The small fridge was empty, very convenient for us to put our own things.

The worst stay of my life. It was torture.
I stayed there 3 years ago, the decor was dated then. Much improved now but the renovations we ongoing and directly above my floor.
There was constant drilling from 11am such that one couldn't have a conversation or watch a movie with noise cancelling headphones. It was impossible to sleep during the day afyer being out all night.
Only one lift worked by the end of the weekend.
It would have been nice to message me before the booking with an option to cancel which i would.
Breakfast was ok.

Convenient location, 1 minute from metro, trams and buses.
A little noisy with traffic at the front of the hotel.
Room was fine, just quite stuffy and dry air. Could use a bit of TLC. Didn't use the dining or other facilities so can't comment on those. Sauna was out of action when we were staying.

The property is undergoing renovation (I don’t recall being informed) this resulted in two gripes on my part.
1. The ‘Spa’ area was closed.
2. We (The British) were assigned rooms on the top floors the old dated rooms with chipped baths and tired grubby carpets while or so it appeared our European friends got the new rooms on the lower refurbished floors.
Do we pay less ? Or are we just not bothered enough to complain when a friend did complain he was told fully booked which we knew to be untrue but how do you prove that ?!

So here’s the pros. Location is good . Close to the metro and is central to everything. Lots of restaurants and supermarkets close by. The service at the front desk is good . They are helpful and speak great English. My room was large and comfortable.
The cons, the hotel is not well kept. It’s going through some renovations but the lobby, lift and some parts of it is run down and not well managed.
The elevator took very long everyday to get downstairs.
I don’t think I will stay there again. For the price of $120 I expected a little more for the name of Novotel .

I used to stay at this hotel several times.last time i stayed here I had a bad experience withbthebroom and mainly with the wifi connection. The network was verybslow and collapsing every 5 to 10 minutes. Wel after some years i have return for a one night stay, and what do you know, nothing has change , especially with the internet connection. Hotel management should take some action in this way. Breakfast though was vey rich with many options.

The Hotel had kept some of its historical past, decor was tasteful and very pleasing to the eye. Staff were efficient, friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet was well presented and had a brilliant selection of food on offer. The room we had was comfortable and clean but the bathroom was dated and would benefit from being updated

The stay was great. Staff were very friendly and restaurant staff and managers in restaurant were VERY meticulous in their efficiency in the smooth running of all food stations. Also it was my husbands 60th birthday which we did not mention and they left a fabulous wee surprise in room.

Super warm the room temperature, turn off heater still very hot. Open the window but very noisy, can’t sleep very well.
