Guesthouse Skálafell

Wonderful spot! Excellent location, plenty to do nearby and a very nice hike that starts right from the property. Service was exceptional and very friendly. Responsive and quick to help with any issues that arise. Would highly recommend!

We encountered no hot water at the first night as we checked in late and had to come back to the hotel in the afternoon next day to make sure there’s hot water before it ran out again. Then there was another issue in the room. The hair dryer was not working and I had to go outside with wet hair to get a working hair dryer. I sent a complaint message to the hotel but never heard back from them. The money we paid for the two nights stay is not worth for the condition. We were quite disappointed. I would not recommend this hotel.

Great farm guest house. Clean. Friendly staff. We were in one of the new cabins and it was very modern with a great view.

Positives - Room was clean, check in was easy. Food in restaurant was extremely tasty, staff very friendly. WiFi fast and reliable. No TV in room, but this great if you are looking for peace and quiet Fabulous stay! Negative - charging points for EV weren't working.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Skaftafell! The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and perfect after a long day of exploring the south coast. The room was very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing night. The location is also ideal for visiting nearby glaciers and waterfalls, and the views are stunning. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through the area!

Awesome place to stay

Only talked to the staff via email but they were responsive. Free breakfast was nice and continually restocked. Remote location.

Awesome little cottages that were very cozy and comfortable. The property is right off the ring road but tucked in a farm with a supremely friendly dog and cliffs and a river right there. The breakfast is absolutely worth it and a lovely way to start the day.

This place is incredible; can hike to a glacier out your door!

We mistakenly thought we were booking a guesthouses in Hofn. We had to drive 30 minutes each way to find an open restaurant in Hofn. The closer one Riki's was closed.

This property was extremely cute and had great service. There is a gorgeous hike accessible from the property and lots of sheep to see. Breakfast was also included and very good.

A wonderful lodging. We really enjoyed the wonderful cabins. The breakfast was very good. The family hosts were so great. We encourage everyone to stay here.

Good size room for our needs, got in late and left early and was a comfortable night sleep. On a farm so there were animal smells but not noticeable in the room itself. Some farm equipment was running by 7am. Bathroom was smaller and a little dirty but an older place so expected. Cute waterfall on the property. Good breakfast. Slept well!

very warm and newly renovated room, love the heated towel racks in the bathroom, the breakfast was excellent feel like home, very easy parking as well
