The service was not exceptional here. The staff took care of minute details. The rooms were clean and renovated. The only drawback was that there was no power backup here in case of loss if electricity which can happen sometimes otherwise everything was fantastic and the service compensated for that.

Enjoyed the hotel very much. The staff was wonderful. I arrived via train early and they accommodated storing luggage for a few hours. Any requests were met with enthusiasm and friendliness. When I left they packed a breakfast for me to go, as leaving early in the morning. The pool is wonderful! Very clean and refreshing. Staff do great job keeping grounds clean and the rooms clean and comfortable. Very much enjoyed this hotel.

A great find and conviently located. The gentleman on reception was great throughout my stay, very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The room was a good size with lots of old period furnishings. Large comfy bed and a fan heater provided. AC worked well too though being the cooler months use of fan heater was needed. Large bathroom with good hot water shower. Located within walking distance to the Palace entrance gate and plenty of resturants nearby. Would definately recomend and stay here again.

We arrived very early and were offered coffee while we waited for reception to open. The place had a real feel of its past as a regal palace. Slightly tired but period features, large rooms, great food and immaculate service. Highly recommended.

Rang Niwas Palace is a beautiful heritage property. It is quaint, with an old world charm! It does require some work, to modernise. Very close to the old town of Udaipur. Walking distance, which is great if one wishes to roam the streets. It is quiet and peaceful. The staff is helpful. The food was excellent. The service was good too. The owners live on the site so there is someone to oversee things. We had a most enjoyable stay there. There is an open garden, which gives a feeling of spaciousness. We are so grateful to have found a little gem of a property in Udaipur! We highly recommend this to those discerning travellers who are looking for a unique experience. Thank you Team Rang Niwas Palace! 😀

There's a touch of faded grandeur about the place, but it is comfortable enough and is in a good spot close to the City Palace entrance. The owner is a very friendly chap. He runs an efficient ship, and is always keen to please. He organised laundry and airport transport. Staff are similarly friendly. We had breakfast once during our four night stay at the hotel's outdoor restaurant. It was fine, but we preferred to venture out and eat somewhere a bit warmer! On the minus side: - wifi wasn't great - security at night was often seemingly absent (or at best well hidden) and we had a few issues getting our key at bedtime. Rangniwas is a good option for people looking for a colonial-style experience without paying through the nose.

Old historic building that belongs to the uncle of the local current maharajah. The family leaves on premises and can you can appreciate the family heirlooms. Location is steps away from the city palace and most attractions can be reached by foot (also easily accessible by car). Only downside is the heavy traffic right outside the property gate. Staff is extremely nice and helpful.
