Spacious room, clean hotel, nice bar area. I felt guest details required at check in were more than most hotels request and had not received any notification to bring ID. Check in was professional, but not particularly warm or friendly.

Breakfast was nice. I was surprised to find out that you could only get one hot dish per order at breakfast. I would understand this rule except porridge (which to be fair is a cereal) was considered one of the hot meals. Staff were lovely and food tasted very good so not a big issue overall.

The location of the Imperial hotel is good and the bed and room was comfortable but the noise was a big problem. I stayed Friday and Saturday night and on both nights there was a wedding and or party, the disco went on until midnight (loud music, screams and shouts) but the party and noise continued until 1am. The noise prevented me from sleeping and the hotel was taken over by the wedding party guests. You were made to feel that you were in the way. I had an issue with housekeeping when personal items from my room weren’t missing, Housekeeping blamed reception for the problem when I spoke to reception they blamed housekeeping. After some discussions I was advised that the manager would speak with me but no manager made contact. I got the impression that the manager was avoiding me. On check out I asked about the manager and was given an email address to use if I had any concerns. Totally unprofessional and unsatisfactory. I would not stay at the Imperial hotel again and if there are weddings on its very busy and very noisy.
