It was a little tricky finding but the place was so nice with comfortable bedding and air conditioning. Thought they might have a little more at breakfast but the croissants were huge and delicious!!

The owner was very slow to respond when I reported no heat in the apartment. I reported it on Monday morning, then again on Wednesday. The heat was fixed on Wednesday night.

Overall excellent with an amazing breakfast of homemade baked items. However, our arrival was a bit odd. At 4:00 PM there was no staff at the premises. After no response to the doorbell, we were forced to activate costly international roaming on our phone (the only time during an 18-day trip) to reach someone who provided information on how get in. During our 5-day stay, it appears there was no management around after noon--sometimes not even after 10:30 AM.

The room, in fact it was a suite, was spacious and clean, with a refrigirator and AC in each room. The only issue was that the shower glass doors were installed very unstable and one of them falled on my husband during shower. The glass broke in small pieces and even wounded slightly my husband. However, the manager arrived immediately and cleaned the bathroom and flat. The location was wonderful.

Federico was fantastic. It’s a bit hard to find at first, but it’s really central and very close to the Duomo and from there, the Quattro Canti. Vincenzo is very responsive. Place is clean, and big, and I enjoyed my stay there.

Good ensuite room, breakfast was as expected and good coffee too - espresso and Americano (we’re a latte and cappucino free zone!). Would book again on our next potential visit as it was fairly quiet at night and close to some of the main sights.

The B&B was lovely - tucked away in a little street moments from the cathedral of Palermo. The room was spacious and clean and staff were amazing. Breakfast was outstanding, especially the fresh pastries. Would highly recommend. Only downside is parking and visitors need to bear the ZFL zones in mind to avoid fines.

Have wanted to visit Sicilia for some time since I love all things Italia. It’s a bit daunting travelling as a solo “female woman”, but it’s been a great adventure and I couldn’t be more content with the B&B Federico Secondo. A convenient spot to explore the wonders of Palermo, close by the cathedral (duomo) and the maze of A-mazing streets and piazzas... don’t forget your maps and iPhones and anything else that can help with navigation. Ignore all offers of help on a street level but the bona fida businesses are trustworthy and a blessing. I recommend this B&B and would be happy to stay in future adventures.

Renovated building in a poor but improving area just off the centre. It's safe and convenient - less than 5 minutes from the Duomo. Limited free parking available in the alley.
The rooms are in two floors of the building with the breakfast area and a lounge in the ground floor. Our room - a double - was large, bright with a window and balcony onto the alley. The alley is full of balconies hung with washing and awnings. It is fairly quiet and the windows are good.
good bed, clean, nice minimalist decor, good bathroom. A/C works, minibar fridge. No safe but very solid door.
Breakfast is Italian continental. Good but short on fruit.
Some good restaurants nearby.
Overall great for people happy to be a bit independent.
