Hotel Alpi

We had a great 3 night stay at this lovely, good value hotel. The room was spacious and clean with a balcony with a wonderful lake view. The breakfast included in the price offers a great choice of cold cut meats, cheeses, bread, jams and cereals. But what really made our stay memorable was the staff. The kind male owner was so friendly at check in, offering lots of literature and information for local restaurants, transport and events. And when we left to move to our next hotel in the next town of Stresa 15 minutes drive away, he had one of his team drive us there - what more can you ask of a hotel. We will be back.

Schönes Hotel mit nettem Service-Personal. Inhaber ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut gelegen für Unternehmungen am Lago Maggiore. Das Frühstück war gut und reichlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Just finished a three night stay at the Alpi, very clean and well maintained, had dinner on the first night and very good. Staff happy to explain anything you don’t understand. Easy walk down to beach and town. Would definitely return.

We loved this hotel, it is five min walk from the train station and also from the fairy house, we had nice lake view, breakfast was included, the staff was nice, and the price was affordable, thak you Italy

We loved our stay at hotel Alpi , the hotel is in a great location just a short walk into the centre of Baveno but also great jump off point to discover this great area . The Hotel is run by the greatest people nothing is a problem they always went that extra miles to make you feel so welcome and comfortable. Me and my family would like to say Grazie Hotel Alpi see you again

Good location close to several amenities. Beach close by, several towns nearby, public transportation access, air conditioning was wonderful! Cleanliness top notch, staff friendly, good value, lovely food. The only thing missing if you’re going during hot summer is a pool. The balcony with lake view was really nice as well, rooms at the back would not have a great view. Overall very satisfied, good experience.

Last minute booking with my elderly and disabled parents. Communication from the hotel was excellent both before arrival and while there. Beatrice in reception is wonderful and the hotel is very well run. It is beautiful kept and spotlessly clean. Location is great - a couple of minutes walk through a park to the beach and less than 10 minutes walk down to the promenade, restaurants and ferry terminal. A very comprehensive and delicious breakfast was included in the rate. This is a great little hotel and excellent value.

The hotel is only about 5 short blocks from the lakeshore city center and about 3 long blocks from the train station, it has a very convenient location without being in the center of town. Fabulous views of the lake and the mountains from their balconies. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and their breakfast was very nice. Rooms were a good size and always very clean ! I would definitely recommend !

This was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in, all the staff were helpful and friendly. It seems geared to coach parties and large groups but that said it didn’t impact on our stay.

Very good, a home-from-home. Staff welcoming, helpful & pleasant. No-one failed to greet us with a 'bon giorno' or 'buona sera' throughout. Reception will happily print bus/ferry schedules etc for you. Our end-room a good size (abt 7mx4m) plus a bathroom 3x3 with shower washbasin wc & bidet (Most rooms have the bathroom inside the main room area, I think). Quite clean throughout our stay, & despite eco notice, towels were changed everyday. Our end room had sidewindow (one half tilt&turn), the patio door/window (one half tilt&turn). Both had external electric shutters which were effective at shutting out the light, but you'd probably not be able to get up to see the sunrise over the lake without disturbing your room-mate, or neighbours, possibly. A small balcony with two chairs & a table. The lake-view rooms also face the road, the main one out of Baveno going north, so traffic noise could be intrusive (but if you don't like revving sports cars and motorbikes, then don't come to Italy). The rooms on the other side face the railway line (about 100m away), so there might be some train noise. A kettle, cups and saucers were provided. Double-wardrobe with shelf, desk with shelf under, plus a cupboard with safe (enter your own 4-digit key). Bedside open cabinets. (No drawers anywhere). Two padded chairs. Suitcase table. Bedside lights and overhead light, switches by bedsides. Sockets at bedsides and ov desk, but UK adaptor interfered with light switch operation.

Fabulous hotel. Spotlessly clean. Staff friendly and helpful. A mini fridge in bedroom would’ve been good, but that’s the only gripe apart from it being on a fairly busy road. All the pros out weigh that though. Breakfast was lovely. Choice of cereals, cooked meats, various breads. You could dine at night for €23. Manager even gave us complimentary drinks when we checked out, as we had to wait for taxi. Only five minute walk from bars/ restaurants and ferry terminal. Would certainly go back there .

The hotel is pretty classic but it has a good vibe and the staff are really, really friendly. No real bar though you can get a drink in the lounge and the restaurant menu is fine if you want three courses. All meat! But I really liked this place. The rooms are basic but clean and tidy. Like I said - it’s a bit old school but has a really family atmosphere.
