The good: a short block away from Fiumicino beach (which is very nice). Room 501 is a very large room with a wrap around balcony that has views of the ocean (also very nice). The hotel is reasonably close to the airport.
OK: The breakfast was adequate.
Not so good: The shower water pressure was extremely low (took forever to bathe).

Walking distance from the beach. This was a last minute booking when unexpectedly had to stay overnight in Rome. Great for an short stay. Airport shuttle was fabulous.

Our stay at Riviera started off on the wrong foot as the airport shuttle took over an hour to arrive (we were also surprised to learn after getting dropped off that it was €20 when that price had never been mentioned to us). When we arrived, there was no one at the front desk, so we stood in the lobby for 20 minutes ringing the bell and calling the hotel phone (no answer). When the front desk person finally arrived, he neglected to tell us that breakfast ended at 9 am, so the next morning when we arrived in the lobby at 9:05, we were sent away (even though the food was still out, we weren’t allowed to take any for some reason, and the staff handling the food clean up was very rude about it). Our room A/C did not work for the entirety of our stay, so our room was incredibly uncomfortable the whole time, made worse by the noise level of the surrounding neighborhood that kept us up all night. When we went to check out, the front desk person (different than the person who checked us in) was very rude with us and the airport shuttle was again delayed. In total, quite possibly the worst hotel experience we have ever had, and I would give it 0 stars if I could. I would gladly have paid double the amount to stay literally anywhere else, and would recommend others do the same.

Hotel was serviceable. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Shuttle was where they say they were going to be. Walking distance to the ocean was nice. Had nice dinner nearby. All in all, it was ok.
One issue was noise next door and above. We figured we were there only one night so there was no point in complaining...

Transportation from airport to hotel was very bad. Arrived at 1:30 pm at the designated spot for hotel knowing that the shuttle bus pick up was scheduled for 2 pm. We were told to look for a sign « HSS « on the shuttle bus.
We were 4 adults watching for that specific shuttle bus. We had to call the hotel few times which they told us there is a shuttle bus coming in 20 minutes…so we waited to finally see a black mini van with no inscription ( HSS hotel sign ) on it!
We had chosen a superior ocean view room. Surprise !! There is no such ocean view because 2 buildings are blocking the ocean view from our bedroom window.
Simply falsely advertised ! We had chosen that room by what we saw from the website picture description. We paid extra for that luxury which we didn’t get.
