Location: 15 min. walk to Shinjuku station. Hotel is just behind the Godzilla movie theatre and few blocks from Kibuchiko Tower where you can enjoy food, arcades and take the limousine bus. We stayed in few APA hotels. This one lacks an onsen and the lobby is small otherwise it compares to any other APA.

Overall, my stay was good as I knew what to expect after staying in other APA hotels. Very small rooms, a small deep tub, and small bathroom is what is to be expected. But, it works if you are simple, solo traveler. However, compared to some of the other APA Hotels. This hotel did not pay as much attention to cleanliness detail (removing dust from desk and furniture, ensuring sheets and pillows are stainless), and had less amenities. There also is only one elevator for the entire hotel, which was not the case in other APA hotels. So, typically you will always be waiting to catch the elevator up and down. If you stay here, be sure to check out the Indian restaurant downstairs as it is pretty good and also open 24/7 which is convenient. The restaurant serve drinks as well, and will deliver to room if requested. The area surrounding the hotel, Shinjuku, can be a bit seedy and vibrant at night, so that is something to be aware of. The windows though, are pretty good at blocking out the noise of the streets.

Hotel was convenient and check in and out was easy. I think the room was smaller than normal even for the area. The shower did not allow me to stand up to shower. And I am about 6 ft tall. May be due to some kind of equipment for elevator.

Room was comfortable, with everything we needed for the night. Definitely typically small hotel room for Japan. Water pressure was 10/10. Buffet breakfast in the attached restaurant was great. There were set menu items you could order and a buffet of other things. It’s Japan, so those traveling from the west should know it’s not going to be “breakfast” as you imagine it. The food was delicious.

Perfect location in the middle of Shinjuku. This comes with some noise, which you can sometimes hear in the room. The rooms are very very small, but modern and equipped with many amenities. Staff was friendly, the food at the restaurant was good. They also stored my luggage after check out for free. I would come again.

Rooms are small as to be expected in central Tokyo, but the bed was comfortable and staff were friendly. The main issues we encountered that would prevent us from re-booking in future were: - one lift for 15 floors and no stairs. My room was on the 2nd floor so I would have used the stairs daily to save time. This however, wasn’t an option as the fire escape stairs were alarmed leading to a frustrating lengthy wait for the single lift. - the entire hotel had a strong odour of curry from the restaurant downstairs. Despite being a food I like, it was nauseating after a time! - the locale is party central & a red light district, so noise during the night from outside is to be expected. We were most often awoken by a video billboard that blared out the same music on repeat 24/7 just over the road from the entrance (bring ear plugs). - room cleaning is only offered every third night, so don’t expect an empty bin when you get back in the evening.

The area is not a family friendly area at all and the rooms are very small. The hotel is well situated if you are travelling solo and want to have fun.

Rooms are spacious, considering space in Tokyo. Cleanliness is awesome. Staff are very accommodating. Most do not speak English, translated apps you will get by. It’s true, you don’t need to bring much toiletries, most is provided in your room. Toothbrush, toothpaste, comb/brush, razor, hair tie. Yukata (housecoat) and slippers are provided for your comfort. Just bring your deodorant!

1. There is something wrong with the ventilation system. If you observe carefully, any clean surface (e.g. your desk) will get a fine layer of dust in only a matter 2-3 hours. I wake up to my dusty laptop every day. This seems abnormal. 2. Centralized air conditioner. Generally, this isn't a big issue - but sometimes, maybe in the Summer, your room will be scorching and there's nothing you can really do about it because whatever is in charge of the centralized system didn't set itself up correctly for that scenario.
