Candeo Hotel Osaka Namba is a really comfortable, modern, and minimalist hotel that you can book when you visit Osaka. The location of this hotel is also very effective because it's located near Dontonboru where we can find shops and restaurants easily!

Loved the proximity to Dotonbury canal and Namba station. Free luggage lockers available also on our last day with an 8pm flight. The room itself was comfortable with a nice view of the ferris wheel, which my teenagers appreciated. They provided pjs and slippers, and very soft comforters, which made the stay very relaxing.

The staff was very friendly and kindly let us into breakfast a bit early since we had an early flight, which we truly appreciated. While I wouldn’t consider this a true five-star hotel, the location in Plaza is very convenient, and the on-site onsen is a wonderful touch. For a short stay of a couple of nights, it’s a practical and comfortable choice. However, if you prefer larger rooms and a more spacious, American-style hotel experience, you may want to explore other options.

The pictures online seemed like it was a different hotel then we stayed at. It was very small and very noisy. There were several large groups staying at the hotel that used the hallways as an extension of their room. The amenities were limited and the beds uncomfortable. The breakfast was more like dinner then breakfast. Two of the four days we ate out instead of at the hotel. The location is nice, right next to Dotonbori and the train station to Nara.

The onsen on the top floor is really lovely after a flight or any afternoon. The outdoor pool with the fresh air on your face is delightful and the indoor one exactly beside it still has a nice aspect through the glass towards the outdoor pool. The mist room so warm but with cold showers inside was also fabulous. I could not see the man’s side but from the pictures it’s the same set up with two parallel pools. Not deep enough to swim and you should not but big enough to relax in relative privacy as not crowded. It made the stay here a bit special compared to other similarly priced hotels.

The rooms especially the bathroom was extremely small making it very difficult for a family of three to move around. I was asked by the staff to make my own bed and when I called for extra towels (there were only 2 towels for a family of 3), I was asked to come to the reception to get it. The place stank of cigarettes in the lift and corridors. The staff was helpful overall and the breakfast was decent.

Tourist friendly and everyone speaks English so you don’t need to worry, the bath houses or “sky spas” are a nice experience, just be sure to abide by the little rules. Breakfast is always full with new refills of fresh servings, rooms are nice, but do be aware that room service does not include cleaning, just a refill of water, the trash being taken care of, and new towels, at least from our experience. Great hotel overall.
