The location is 10/10. Staying for 4 days 3 nights. It's so close to Namba Station and Dotonbori or Kuromon area. This hotel might be old, but it's okay, I can sleep really well. They have older staff that can't speak English but are so helpful, and the younger staff who will help you with the translator while talking. I will be back staying in this hotel for my next trip to Osaka.

It's our 1st night stay & a transit before starting our tour in Kananzawa. The stay is relaxing & the Japanese/Western breakfast is fantastic.Just remember to exit East gate to go to this hotel otherwise you need to climb over a overhead bridge.

The room was quite smaller than I expected because of the picture I saw when I booked. Although I was glad they placed us on the 8th floor which gave me a good view of the neighborhood. I just hope they give me a bigger room next time.
People at the reception were also very polite. I may consider booking here again when I come back to Osaka.
Overall, it's a good value for money.

It was fine. A little run down, a little noisy outside, no view, no decor, tiny private bathroom, not a great area, but not far from the station, etc. But good wifi, fairly comfortable bed, private bathroom...can't complain

When we booked a room for the Grampus Inn, we knew that it was cheaper and that we should have lower expectations. We were looking for a budget inn, and that's what we got. HOWEVER, we expected a certain level of cleanliness. At first glance, the hotel was about the size we expected. There was a heater and hot water. The things we needed were there. The personnel was friendly enough. We thought the hotel was ok. As we were checking out the next morning, we accidentally flipped over the top blanket cover (kind of like a brown comforter). We found white stains that look like a specific human secretion. That was just disgusting. We will never be going to this place again. I can deal with many aspects of a budget inn, but human secretions on the sheets that our towels were placed on top of is where is where I draw the line.

The room was understandably small given its location in the Namba area. So was the television set and the so-called double bed. The hotel entrance could be easily missed as it was inconspicuous and narrow. There were no English language channels on the TV. Otherwise, a good no-fuss place for a short stay.

The hotel is located very close to the Namba station. Staff was very friendly.
The room was quite small but that’s normal in Japan. Cleaness of the room was below standard. It was quite dusty on the ceiling and behind the table.

Open drain in bathroom, chemicals smell in room, drafts in all the windows, Just an all around brutal place to stay. We would have left as soon as we checked into the room, but no refunds from this place. The additional $20.00 per person for breakfast was a joke. It got you a coffee, 1 slice of toast, 1 oz of greens and a hard boiled egg.

the hotel is advertised as 3stars but is not. there was no coffee making facilities which is very basic requirement in any hotel. No laundry facilities which is the norm in almost all types of hotels of any stars in japan. room had cobwebs on ceilings and bathroom was not very clean either. staff was very polite and tried their best to help but with limited English they could only help so much unfortunately.

Room is sooooooo dirty especially the TV glass table + remote control, I believe seldom have people touch it, but it doesn't mean no need to clean it. Window side full of dusk... Except i can enjoy having my towel change everyday, and the bed being tidy up, I can't see anything is CLEAN here , sigh
