Hilton Kyoto

I have traveled a lot and stayed at 100s (1000s?) of hotels. This is the most interesting hotel I have stayed in from a design perspective. The theme is weaving and Kyoto. My room was so cool the way colors and textures were used. I decided someone needs to invent a “camera” to take “pictures” of textures: wood, stone, tile, carpet…. And then use it at the Kyoto Hilton. Amazing. The carpet in my room was a map of Kyoto. The lobby is also stunning with the weaving loom theme.

Clean room and helpful staff. Nice rooftop bar.

We couldn’t have been more surprised with this hotel, amazing 5* from the hotel to the staff, we couldn’t fault this at all.it made our stay in Kyoto even more memorable and we will definitely be back and recommend this to all! The Italian and bakery inside the hotel was also a huge bonus if your needing a change

Great rooms. Great location

Hotel is very new, location is perfect for exploring, walk to local attractions and a block to 3 stations for further trips. Breakfast was fantastic. We also used the laundry service which was same day and our clothes came like new. There is another Hilton property in the city so be careful using maps app to get home.

I loved the location and aesthetics of this hotel. My room was perfectly appointed and our experience in the executive lounge made the stay even better. Also enjoyed an afternoon swim and evening drinks on the rooftop bar. A really lovely place from which to explore a beautiful city.

Seriously, just stay here. Close to two subways ie different lines. Opposite is a 711, a beef rice bowl place and restaurant for breakfast. Hotel has a pool, amazing, and a gym. Normally I'd find a fault with a hotel somewhere but I can't with this place.

The most beautiful Hilton property out of dozens that I have stayed at. Exceptional in every way.

The hotel is very new and clean. The room was very spacious and had all the amenities. It was beautiful. The only downside is the view. Not much of one. The staff all spoke good English and were so helpful with everything. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a wide variety to choose from. I would recommend the breakfast add on. We ate at the Italian restaurant one night. Small portions but was delicious. The hotel is in a very convenient area. Walk from Gion and the main shopping district. Also close to Ponchoco Alley with many restaurants to choose from. Along main bus and rail lines. I would stay here again and would recommend to friends and family visiting Kyoto. Super safe and clean.

This hotel has everything you would need and is in a fairly central location. I would say its on the lower end of 5 star hotels, not that its lacking in any way but the vibe is more corporate than luxury. This was the third hotel we stayed at in Japan for our honeymoon. We stayed in a suite on the 5th floor with executive lounge access. Out of the 3 hotels we stayed at, this was the only one that didnt give us any upgrades or acknowledge our honeymoon despite having emailed them about it a few months before our arrival. The room is spacious, executive lounge is okay (gets pretty crowded and food/drink options arent vast) and there is a rooftop bar, lobby bar as well as a few restaurants on the lobby floor. We weren’t blown away by this hotel but we would stay here again.
