Hilton Kyoto

This hotel has everything you would need and is in a fairly central location. I would say its on the lower end of 5 star hotels, not that its lacking in any way but the vibe is more corporate than luxury. This was the third hotel we stayed at in Japan for our honeymoon. We stayed in a suite on the 5th floor with executive lounge access. Out of the 3 hotels we stayed at, this was the only one that didnt give us any upgrades or acknowledge our honeymoon despite having emailed them about it a few months before our arrival. The room is spacious, executive lounge is okay (gets pretty crowded and food/drink options arent vast) and there is a rooftop bar, lobby bar as well as a few restaurants on the lobby floor. We weren’t blown away by this hotel but we would stay here again.

Hilton Kyoto is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed. Everything was just RIGHT! From interior to service. Highly recommend !

Breakfast was very chaotic but otherwise all good

Hilton Kyoto: The worst hotel experience of my life. This is absolutely not a 5-star hotel. I stayed here for 4 days, and every single day I was followed by staff, as if I were under surveillance or a criminal. I was charged 13,000 yen for food in the Executive Lounge that my son never ate. After I complained, the front desk manager lowered it to 6,500 yen, but it was a scam from the start. The room was filthy, never cleaned, no soap, broken phone, and no air conditioning. I was treated with total disrespect, like I didn’t belong there. This place doesn’t even deserve one star. Do not stay here—it’s a complete rip-off, and the worst hotel I have ever encountered.

The hotel had a very modern luxury vibe, and the room design was excellent and fit well with the design of Kyoto as a whole. The breakfast buffet was the best we had in Japan. The location was good as it was close to nightlife of Gion district.

Absolute best and coolest hotel of our entire trip, everything was so perfect, the rooms were incredible

From check in to check out, it was an incredible experience. The hotel is also walking distance from everything! Shopping, food and even some attractions. Loved everything!

We had amazing experience in Hilton Kyoto. It has to do with excellence all around - great location, outstanding customer service everywhere, beautiful room, good breakfast, excellent Italian restaurant on the first floor of the hotel. They have big swimming pool. I enjoyed it every day.

Hilton Kyoto sets the standard for hospitality in every sense. From the moment you see the building. The use of space, design of the building is pleasing to the eye. Proof that huge landscaping, a beach backdrop is not required to have a nice property. It’s classy, functional, welcoming. Talk about welcoming, our tiny drama had nothing to do with the hotel, but the staff made it their own. Osaka baseball tickets scheduled for delivery did not arrive as planned. Super Tigers fan YUI came to the rescue. Her patience encouragement for over an hour gave us hope. Takuma, at the front desk a couple of days later help us call seller and the issue was resolved. Taiyo from concierge who I never got to meet was very helpful from Miami. Yes breakfast was awesome with many goodie’s. Our room was extremely clean, portioned to create privacy and gain functionality. Before I forget; the staff looked like they al came out of VOGUE magazine + full of kindness. I hope I enjoy another stay at Hilton Kyoto. The new standard We will use to compare future hotel stays. Thank you very much, Sincerely AJ & IJ
