Heart of the City. The bus stop is just in front of the hotel which helps to go around town and visit the famous tourist spots. The hotel is convenient, comfy and clean. The only downside is the centralized air conditioner. The hotel staff is the one who adjusts the settings of the temperature of the air conditioner. We requested to set our room temperature to 17 degree celsius as it was really warm for us but they said they can only set it until 20 degree celsius. Nothing lower than that which is not nice. Hence, we just opened the window. Luckily, it was raining that night so we felt the cold air outside. Im not really happy for the temperature of the air conditioner.

The breakfast wasn't as good as the breakfast in osaka

If you're a solo traveler or couples, this place is perfect. Great location, clean, great service. Everything you need. I would definitely stay here again.

I wasn’t a huge fan of this hotel. The air conditioner didn’t work, so our hotel room was constantly hot, our window was frosted, which was fine expect it made the room was dark and a lot smaller (for an already very small room). The shower was weird, we couldn’t angle the head of the shower down enough so that it didn’t spray out of the bath, so we had to clean in the bathtub instead (and anyone who’s done that knows it’s not as good). A plus was that the location of the hotel was good. Very close to both the main bus terminal and a train station, which made getting around very easy. Also only about a 15 minute walk from the big food market so that was nice. There was also a FamilyMart right next to the hotel, which was also very nice for a tourist on a budget.

Not as clean as expected. Lots of foreign tourists here. Room are dark and small, bathroom is dated.

The room I had had a frosted window. Couldn’t see out or open it so I felt claustrophobic. Room was dark and depressing. When I booked this one I thought it was the other Ibis Styles near the Kyoto Train Station. This one is closer to the Shijo train station, so it takes transferring to get to the main JR lines. I went to the wrong hotel and ended up taking a taxi to the right one. Glad I only had 3 nights here…I couldn’t have stayed longer as I did not like this room. Plus I noticed some hair that wasn’t mine on the carpet when I arrived. The carpet didn’t feel really clean. Would not stay here again.

The aircon didn't work, the fridge didn't work, was missing block out curtains and staff didn't care

Good place and amazing people

Small room but cozy. However, we can hear the traffic light sound every now and then. Hotel is in a great location for shopping, dining, mrt line, bus stop and convenience store. Will recommend the is hotel to our friends

The breakfast was not very good and the rooms were tiny. I’ve stayed in much nicer hotels but this was definitely not terrible. Workers were very polite and the property was kept very clean.
