Value for money. The location is adjacent to the station. Access everywhere is easier. From the room, there is a view of the fast train (shinkansen) that runs every minute.

The Kyoto Century Hotel is a wonderful place to stay, just steps away from Kyoto Station with easy access to the trains as well as various shops and dining areas. The check in experience was smooth, and when we got upstairs to our room it was clean and well maintained. Staying in a King bed room, the room was quite spacious compared to other Japanese hotels we have stayed at, and had everything that you would need as well as a decently sized bathroom/shower area. The one time we needed help from the staff to do luggage transportation, they were great and it only took a few minutes for them to handle everything The only thing we did not partake in was the restaurant/buffet at the hotel so I don't have any comment if that is good or not, but everything else was top notch. I would recommend anyone staying in Kyoto to stay here if they are looking for a nice place with easy access to transportation.

Lovely clean and spacious room, beautiful lobby with helpful, friendly staff and an amazing breakfast buffet. It is right outside the station with easy access and no big roads to cross so plenty of shops and restaurants within a couple minutes walk.

Well run hotel-great location -one of the closest to the Kyoto Train station. Down the station escalator and turn right and walk straight right into hotel. Lovely room-we were very happy there for our 5 night stay. There is a fab bar for amazing cocktails or a beer at the end of a long day. Even ordered a charcuterie boards that was delish. We took a train to Osaka, subways to Imperial Palace and to Nikko market, Uber to a cooking class and public bus to the mountains. Love Kyoto.

I would much rather a hotel be overly cautious than not, however I was still disappointed to be turned away even after pre booking a reservation and noting the allergy, and then filling out a questionnaire once we were seated. Breakfast is fantastic, lots to choose from, and the location is perfect. Easy access to the station. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Hotel was clean and very traditional with the expectation that shoes are removed on entry to the room and traditional wooden clogs available to wear if you want. The room was nice with a separate bathroom and toilet. The heated toilet seat was amazing! Downside they actually charge you to sit in the bar for a drink! That was before their very high drink prices.Reception staff were very helpful.
