I have been in Japan for 2 weeks staying in several hotel’s across the country. Park was the most expensive but my least favourite. Honestly, I couldn’t wait to check out. My room smelled of sweat or urine the second I walked in. Unfortunately I had no energy to debate with the staff about switching rooms after a long travel day. I proceeded to do my laundry in their machine which state that detergent is automatically added by the machine. I was disappointed when my wash still smelled as if it hadnt been washed at all. Then, I woke up at 5am to get a workout done in the “gym”. The gym was barely big enough for one person… it consisted of a handful or dumbbells a bike and a skierg. I didn’t use the gym because there was someone in there doing a circuit with all the equipment so clearly couldn’t make it work. Overall, for the price and appearance of the hotel, I expect all those little things to be much better. Disappointed!

Loved this hotel, comfortable beds and pillows, great shower. The location is excellent you can see the train station from the hotel which is three stops from Kyoto station, there is a steep staircase and no lift at Karasuma Oike station. Supermarkets, an all night pharmacy and Nijo Castle a short walk away. There is a great gyoza restaurant across the street, Gyoza Ohsho, we also had two good meals at the hotel. Train travel makes everything in Kyoto accessible. Love the city and enjoyed the stay at Park Hotel.

Nice hotel that is near the Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae Station. Booked 3 rooms, and they were quite small. One room had a smell of body odor that was present throughout the stay. Service and staff were helpful. The kitchen staff were great, we barely made it in time for dinner, and they stayed open to serve us ramen, which we greatly appreciated. The front desk staff helped us coordinate luggage shipping through Yamato shipping, but this hotel does charge a 10% fee to do so. Overall, a good stay.
