Richmond Hotel Sendai

駅から徒歩圏内でベッドも寝心地が良く、空気清浄機もあり、快適に過ごせた。ホテルマンの対応も過不足なくこちらも快適だった。壁画飾りに自署サインのある小作品が掛かっていて豊かな気分にもなれてスハシだった。

The hotel itself doesn't stand out too much, but if you look for a Royal Host then you'll have found the place. I didn't have breakfast during my stay, but guests would eat it at the Royal Host on the first floor. However, the hotel did issue me Welcome Drink Tickets; one per night. They allowed me to use Royal Host's drink bar for an hour (it's an honor system) or redeem one glass of beer or wine. People will end up ordering food while they're at it so this tactic is good for Royal Host's business. This hotel is close to Sendai Station yet far from the noisier parts of downtown, an ideal neighborhood for me. It's also only a 10 to 15-minute walk to any of the bus platforms so a daytrip anywhere in the area was easy. If you stay more than one night, every day you request they not clean your room, they'll give you some point rewards. My room wasn't too small and I had a comfortable stay even while using the same towels and bed sheets every single night. I recommend this place as a calm, convenient, and cozy base from which to explore Sendai city, other parts of Miyagi Prefecture, or even other parts of the Tohoku region.
