Rurikoh

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Room was fantastic and the private onsen terrific. Set dinner experience was great too and they were able to cater for my wife’s gluten allergy, which some other ryokans we checked would not. Staff were great too!

Lovely getaway for an authentic Japanese Onsen bathing experience. The suite room was gorgeous and came with a private bath which was very worth it for me ! Many delicious local restaurant options nearby too. Staff knew enough English to get us settled. Highly recommend for 1-2 nights as part of your trip.

We had Suite Room B and it was very spacious and well maintained. Rurikoh had many good services (free shuttle to/from Kagaonsen train station, spa w/massages, outdoor foot onsen, taiko drum performance, free afternoon snacks), a beautiful outdoor onsen and large indoor one, very good traditional Japanese breakfast, and very welcoming staff. A short walk (approx 8 min) to several grocery stores and restaurants.

Loved this place! Staff was very friendly and helpful. They had a drink and snack bar available when we got there. It was quiet and relaxing. The only thing that was confusing was that they told us we couldn’t eat at the restaurants at the hotel. We had to go outside of the hotel to eat, but was fine because we went to an AWESOME yakiniku place called Akichan.

Classic East meets West Japanese hotel. Onsens are great, room onsens are also well designed and modern. Rooms are very large; ours was traditionally designed. Taiko drums at 9pm is a fun option. Don’t be afraid to walk the neighborhood and eat at a local place. The locals might be a bit surprised to see you but they will embrace your presence. Stayed in a very hot summer so be prepared if you are coming at that time. Even though Japanese use less AC than Westerners, Air conditioning struggled to keep up with the extreme heat indexes into the 100s.

It's seen better days. Quality of the meals was disappointing. Room was spacious and clean but the property in general is tired and needs upgrading. It's a bit on the outskirts of the main part of Yamashiro Onsen but there's a bus stop across the street if you want to get into town. We took it to get to Yamanaka Onsen and to Kakusenkei Gorge.

Very nice hotel and provide the spa area to enjoy Japanese style bath. And front desk employee introduced the detail of hotel. The Hotel’s breakfast and dinner also tasty to enjoy the Japanese culture.

We had a great staying in the executive room with private Onsen and could access to the executive lounge. The staff were friendly, the room was spacious, neat and comfortable. Dinner was delicious but breakfast buffet was just ok.

We stayed here based on the good reviews but found it quite disappointing overall. It was clearly out of high season for them so lots of things were closed or didn't run including the nighttime entertainment which was part of our reasoning in booking it. It's not a traditional ryokan, more of a large hotel with traditional rooms. The public baths were very good and a great place to relax. We also had a room with a private onsen which was very nice. The room was excellent and very big with a very comfy futon! Dinning was a disappointment as it turns out you need to book a dinner package (we didn't when booking as we couldn't see what the food would be so decided to order when we got there). When we arrived it turns out everyone was having dinner but us and as we hadn't pre booked then they couldn't accommodate us! We ended up having to wait until 8pm to eat from the snack menu of an empty bar which was a poor experience and the hotel did nothing to help. I had also contacted them in advance about dinning options and was told there were 'lots available' which was rubbish. Breakfast was better and a nice buffet mix including many local specialities which were nice to try. Whilst we had a quiet and relaxed stay here, given the price we paid, we didn't get the experience advertised on their website (you shouldn't be able to book a package that doesn't include food). I would advise going for a proper ryokan rather than a

Large and traditional hot spring hotel. Hot spring bath inside the hotel opened 24hours. You can enjoy the bath even you go back late at night.

The staff and tatami room were very nice. The hotel overall is a bit old and run down.

One hour bus ride from takayama. Great place to stay. The onsen was super nice outside. The owner was awesome and spoke some English.

旅館は夕食、朝食が付いていると思い込み、 瑠璃光についたら、食事なし。 朝ごはんはお願いできましたが、夕食は近くの食事処がどこもいっぱいで、。 食事なしとわかりやすくしてほしいです。 瑠璃光さんはよかったです。

部屋も狭くて、設備も古い。スタッフの声掛けもなってない。ビジホとの差異が無い。案内も不備あり、サービスも悪い。もう一度行きたいとは思わない。

スタッフの接客がもう少し丁寧であれば良い。 食事の際、アレルギーの有無や食材の説明が不足しており、値段のはどの価値は感じられなかった。

部屋にシャワーはないですが　温泉や露天風呂も広く快適でした　清潔でした

ウエルカムドリンクとお菓子が、子どもたちに高評価でした！！ドローンショウなどもあり、お客を喜ばせる工夫が感じられて良かったです

一人旅でしたが、食事温泉接客、全て満足できました。 またお邪魔したいです。
