Laundry was great, but with only 4 machines it was not easy to get clothes actually dry as the dryers were all occupied even when our laundry was done. Other than that, the location was great, very close to shops and amenities and only a 15 minute walk from Okayama’s main station, so was the perfect hub for access to the Shimanami Kaido and Naoshima Island as well.

Hotel room was old and kind of dirty. The beds were horrible, very hard, and so were the pillows. Bathroom/shower was little, the whole bathroom was made of plastic including the floor. Luckily I just stayed the night. Only upside was it walking distance to the Okayama castle, gardens, and restaurants.

The staff were great but the overall condition of the hotel was deteriorated. The carpets are stained and smell bad, our room was supposed to be non smoking but when we entered the room it smelled like cigarettes. The location of the hotel is favorable as it is 10 minutes from Okayama Castle and Korakuen Garden which is a must. The only good experience was the treatment from the staff.

Room was poorly maintained, walls were dirty and wallpaper peeling off. Carpet floors were stained and dirty, we got slippers to wear cause it was so bad. Comforter on the bed had stains on it. Bathroom was tiny, shower was controlled by the sink faucet. Sink was stained, cracked and peeling paint, entire bathroom had stains and dirt in the corner seams. I would highly recommend you look for a different hotel to stay at.

This hotel is dated as many reviewers have noted. I saw those old features: a deep scratch mark in the bathroom sink, outdated bathroom design, ripped curtain, and so on. So, I do understand what some negative reviews. But I have to say that the hotel is reasonable and very practical. Not a fancy hotel for sure, but I like the fact that I was able to stay multiple nights at a reasonable price. Loved the well-functioning washers and dryers. Unlike some reviewers, I did not have any problem with noise. The location is great! Safe neighborhood. Right across from the Symphony Hall (closed for renovation), which has Lawson convenience store. 5 minute-walk to Okayama Castle. Not so close to Okayama Station, but street cars come every10 minutes or so. The hotel staff members were nice. I needed a taxi on my departure day, and they booked one for me (my taxi came on time/before time). You can go to Omotecho Shotengai arcade and walk to Tenmaya department store. Good bargain for what it is!

Hotel is a bit old with central aircon system being noisy at times. Location is a bit far from train station but close to the castle. Would prefer staying near station next time. No free luggage storage. Need to pay to store luggage for a few hours which is ridiculous for a hotel. Would not recommend to stay

Check-in was more like what you expect at a hotel in the USA. Not the usual warm and welcoming check-in we have received at other hotels in Japan on our trip. This is a bare bones hotel, charges you even for a cup of coffee or to store your luggage while you do some last-minute shopping. This hotel is in serious need of a refresh; the carpet and walls are stained, old, and there is a less-than-pleasant odor. One room was clean, one room was not. No amenities are provided in the room, they are stacked up on tables in the lobby. No breakfast, although they have an outside vendor come in with grab-and-go options to purchase. We regretted our choice as soon as we walked into the lobby.

Probably due to the amount of tourists in place, but the hotel was extremely noisy at night, kids playing, adults talking loudly, babies crying, etc. Not recommended for business travel. Bathrooms and shower displayed significant mold in ceiling mostly in corners. Bed was alright.

The walls are thin and so was unable to sleep the first night. Those in the neighboring room were noisy obviously doing things perhaps not polite to write about in a review. A number of times had to bang on my own wall to make them stop. Finally fell asleep at 3am or so. It wzs awful and uncomfortable and I did not feel safe after that night. It would be good to habe cameras in the hall.
