Towadako Backpackers

Great and quiet hostel in the beautiful countryside. There is an onsen 2 minutes walk down the road which is well worth a visit.

Super cute little hostel, though I’m sure it’d be way better in the summertime! We came in what was off-season (early April), so we basically had the place to ourselves. It was quiet, and very cold, and a lot of the businesses in the area weren’t quite open at regular hours yet, but we still enjoyed our time! It is a little far from any cities, so accessibility is slightly difficult without a car (there is one or two buses a day? or every other day I believe?), but we managed to rent a car and get around to other parts of Aomori easily enough. The staff were lovely. Ready to help us during their opening hours. Breakfast was provided and while small, is always appreciated as a traveller! They offer the areas specialty dish for dinner at a very affordable cost as well, we didn’t get the chance to try it but it always looked good when we’d walk by! There is a lovely onsen hotel right down the road that is very affordable, and, while simple, is essentially all you need for some relaxing.

Overall, it was satisfactory for staying a night. The twin room was cozy with wide two soft beds and a balcony, which was great for having morning tea. 5 min. walk from the Towada Lake, JR bus station. Owner & Owner's family was so kind and considerate that I would like to visit again.

Great little place with simple accommodations. The owner is such a friendly guy, we felt very welcomed. The room was simple but comfortable. Great kitchen facilities and nice breakfast included. Would definitely stay again!

I have not stayed in any backpackers lodge before. Towadako Backpackers will be the next alternative if you cannot book a decent hotel nearby.

enjoyed our stay here. Location is convenient. General store is nearby. Towadako Lake is beautiful. Good hiking trails around.

I stay in a twin rooms. Room decorate in japanese style , but have beds to sleep with japanese blanket which very soft, (not sleep on floor like other japanese styles rooms). Breakfast served in "bento" and good taste.

Hotel staff is very friendly and most helpful. Onsite food is very reasonably priced and very good.Rooms are clean and efficient. It is not fancy but very nice. It is more like staying at a friend's house rather than at a hotel which creates a lovely atmosphere.

I loved the place as it gives a lot of freedom, people can order food or cook on their own, it is very friendly and I would go back anytime!

　朝食付きのリーズナブルな価格で、整備された自転車も無料で借りることができた、奥入瀬の子ノ口までサイクリングしたがとても助かりました、ただヘルメットは自身で持参のようです。 　他のゲストが美味しそうな肉の陶板焼きを食べていたので、次回は夕食も注文したいと思います。 　追伸　男性シャワー室が一か所のみのようだったので夏場は大丈夫か気になりました。

距十和田休屋非常近，CP值高

布団にカバーがあるのと無いのがあったのが気になりました。 夕飯のバラ焼き定食が美味しかったです。

本当に十和田湖が近くにあり、美しい景観でした。この宿に向かう道はどれも山道なので夜には霧が立ち込めますので運転には注意が必要です。

大人3人、小学生2人、幼児2人の計7人で滞在。 シングルベッド4台でしたが十分でした。 民宿って感じです。建物は古いけど不潔ではないです。 朝食(食パン、ゆで卵、コーンフレーク)も付いて1万円はかなりコスパよし！
