Great hotel with excellent location. In front of hotel had shuttle if you want to transit to China and also terminal bus in front of hotel. Breakfast delicious. Staff friendly.

Room was nice, location good, but we had booked a night in macau as part of a week trip to Hong Kong from the UK, and really disappointed to be advised on arrival the pool was closed. We had specifically booked a hotel with a pool and had we known could have chosen any of a number of other properties to meet this need (some of which were more reasonably priced).

I thought the pool was a lot bigger than what it actually was, as per the advertisement.
We had the buffet breakfast every morning and were so happy with what was on offer. It set us up perfectly for a day of sightseeing ☺️
Each time we dined at one of the restaurants we had delicious meals.
And a special shout out to the concierge staff who were so helpful in getting us to wherever we asked.
All the staff are amazing and friendly and very helpful.
It was a fantastic experience.
Also, the Christmas light party was such an excellent bonus to our stay at Sofitel.

Hotel is old and needs a refurb. I emphathize with the concierge staff as they had to often run downstairs to get a taxi for us. Seems like getting taxi is an issue for this hotel. Casino is also very limited as compared to many other casinos. Pillows are way too soft for sleeping !!

I have never had a bad experience with Sofitel and not this time either. Large and luxurious rooms (also Superior rooms) with all amenities. Should I mention anything that could be improved it would be breakfast. Good and a lot of choice, but they had trouble keeping up at peak time. Good but have experienced better in other Dkfitel hotels. Still I do not hesitate to recommend, and would go back if I have the chance. What stands out are all the details in decoration and furnishings- beautiful hotel

Overall staff service excellence from front desk to chamber maid whom cleanupour room.
Able to provide info and assistant provided.
If mineral water is provided in the room, it will be much better.
Also addition tissues box at the room dressing table, as there's only 1 in the bathroom.
Overall our stay in the hotel is nice and comfortable. Just that we had encounter rainy weather thus unable to explore more.

The hotel charged my credit card without my authorization for a night that was already paid for when reserved through Expedia. The hotel told me that it was their error.
