We really loved our four day stay at the Camar Resort. Our room was in the ground floor and opened up to the pool - amazing. The private beach was great and quiet. The breakfast was decent but not spectacular and I imagine we would have grown tired of the choices after more than 4 days. It was the low season so the resort was very quiet which was great for us. There were a number of awesome and really affordable restaurants around so you didn’t feel like you had to eat at the resort for every meal (although the food was quite good at the hotel). The service at the resort was top notch and I think that is what truly sets Camar apart from the others.

The facility is well maintained and cleaned. Beach is literally in front of the property and the view from beachside restaurant is pretty too. This area was quiet compared to pantai cenang area, so I recommend if you want to chill and relax at the beachside. Currently construction is ongoing next to this resort so sometimes got noise, but it didnt really bother us. Good stay!

Nice hotel with a very good pool. My main issue is the lack of decent air conditioning. This was manageable in the rooms as they also had large fans but completely inadequate in the fitness room. This was a glass room facing the sun for most of the day and the air conditioner barely put out any cold air leaving it a dangerous temperature to workout. It’s a good hotel in other aspects but if you want to use the gym during your stay choose somewhere else.

Another hotel where the reality is very different from the Expedia photos. Staff was very nice, but hotel wasn’t in the best condition. There was what looked like black mold growing around the base of the sink and toilet. The beach by the hotel has a sewage smell.

I stayed at Camar a few years ago and the service was impeccable. I was looking forward to my stay again, and although we had a nice time it wasn’t up to the same standard. A beautiful location and comfortable safe stay.

Thanks so much to the nice and supportive staffs. Although we enjoyed our stay, I think this resort has a great potential to improve. Maybe a renewal of the building and facilities are needed in near future.

We had an amazing 7 night stay at The Camar, the room was very comfortable and overlooked the great long pool, Breakfast was good, the staff were truly wonderful. The location is on a pretty beach on the edge of town, away from all the clamor but near enough for either a long walk or short taxi ride. The hotel run a scuttle service. There are pretty of restaurants and bars in the area. Would highly recommend

The best hotel deal I’ve ever had 👍👍
We stayed at the full ocean view room with a private balcony. Every morning we enjoyed the view from our room.
It has a big tub with ocean view.
Every staff gives you service here. They are all professional and speak English very well.
We didn’t like the pool area because there were many kids. water temperature was cold for me. Beach side was so peaceful and quiet. That’s exactly what we wanted.
Shower was good. They use a good lemon grass products for shampoo and body. They give you toothbrush and razor blade.
Breakfast was good. Many different Kind of food. Coffee was kind of weak for us. They make you craps, different style eggs, egg Benedict ..etc
We also tried the alun spa which was recommended by hotel. They provide a pickup/drop off service. We checked prices in 4 different places in town. Everybody charges same price. This place had a best set up. I would recommend that place. Hotel concierge will book an appointment for you.
I have no negative comment about this place. Only suggestion would be I wish beach wasn’t a little more cleaner.
Overall I highly recommend this place to people who want to have quiet and relax vacation.
We travel every month and visited many different places in Asia. Never had this kind of good deal. Very happy about it.
