Stayed in the mixed dormitory. The bed is clean and comfortable, and it's nice to see that they have a socket available for every bed. Shower rooms come with heater and soap (yay!).
And yes, you can have as many cream crackers as you like at the snack station. Was literally munching them away at 2 in the morning LOL. Oh, there's a cool water dispenser too - not many hostels would offer water dispensers for the price I am paying for! :) Really satisfied!
Very close to 1st Avenut and the KOMTAR Bus Terminal, as well as the famous coffee shops at Lebuh Presgrave. I'd definitely recommend this for others hehe!

Best experience in unforgettable trip.
They have extremely friendly host who helped out on our first trip to Penang by introducing us the area around, which saved us the time to figure out what to look out for(eg. stall operating hours, traveling time, mode of transport etc).
It was unforgettable that the host even offered to fetch us to our destination around that area early in the wee hours since it is hard to grab a transport at that time.

I stayed 24 days in the hostel and during my stay the staff was very friendly and they went out their way to help. Thanks a lot! The location is perfect near to Komtar Tower. It is located on the beautiful street.
The hostel has a kitchen and common space with some free snacks. The Wi-Fi is free and fast.

It was a comfortable stay. The minimalist hotel lobby is clean and quiet. The hotel's surroundings are peaceful and the streets are clean. At night, although it seems deserted, the streetlights are very bright.
Across from Prangin Mall, which is also in the same area as the Komtar Bus Terminal, Prangin Mall offers numerous van and bus ticket agents to Hatyai, Thailand, and Singapore.

Small hotel in the middle of the city which is close to everywhere. Family rooms in Douou Souz are quite pleasant. Hotel equipment is also complete, can borrow a hair dryer, etc. Very good location near to restaurant-restaurant in George Town. Service is also quite okay just for the bathroom to be repaired because it is a bit smelly. The lower bed is also a sofa bed and a bit hard so it's not comfortable. But overall is okay 😊

This homestay is not good at all the owner of this homestay is temperamental, the room itself is not using ceramic floor (just using cement), AC is quite cold enough, TV channel really bad (one 1 channel), the bed on the 1st floor is really bad (using sofa to changed into bed, you can feel the sofa a little hard), the lighting in the room is really dim, toilet it self is too small, no table or any chair inside the room, the wastafel is too small). Additional, the homestay is really hard to find for people who never come to this homestay, the owner was not polite as well as his wife. The good thing is the water heater is good enough with high pressure water.

Location hard to find, no proper signage. room deco is nice, cleanliness is good, overall design is different from other hotels but those welcoming difference will appreciate. love the idea of sleeping upstairs. Just up to my taste and will definitely going back since the location is not a problem anymore, no meal for us that day so ignore my rating on meals
