Absolutely stunning! 🌅 The Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Malta Golden Sands is a true gem nestled along one of Malta’s most beautiful beaches. This was our 4th time staying at the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa Golden Sands. This resort never disappoints. The entire staff from check-in, check-out, house keeping, maintenance crew etc. are all so friendly & welcoming team.
The resort is always immaculate from inside the main lobby, to individual rooms, to outside the resort. It is a very well kept resort and part of the reason why we continue to return.
We always include the breakfast. It is one of the best breakfast buffets and spreads with made to order omelet stand, fresh fruit & veggies, multiple juice options, and baked goods. It what we look forward to each morning we wake up. The staff again are so polite, friendly, and super attentive.
Another benefit is Golden Sands has their own small private sandy beach, which can be hard to find in Malta. The resort has 3 pools: small kiddie pool, main pool where all are invited to lounge and our favorite the adults only pool (ages 16 yrs & up). The staff does an exceptional job at ensuring those at the pools & beach have the proper daily resort bracelet allowing guests access to these facilities.
Highly recommend this resort for all the above reasons stated and more. Thank you for another wonderful time!

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. Great service from check-in to check-out—friendly, helpful, and always professional. Good location, close to the golden sands beach. Unfortunately it was very windy during our stay and the water was still cold. In terms of getting to Valetta or any other attractions it is a bit remote even by taxi. Food at the restaurants was average.

Beautiful hotel, all areas are clean and tidy.
However the rooms could do with modernisation.
Gym, steam room, sauna and indoor pool are a great addition and worked well!
Delicious food at the restaurants Aglio olio, Moka and Essence of India. Friendly and helpful staff too.
Front desk and restaurant staff at all times was polite and helpful.
Appreciated the assistance of the staff when taxi to airport was late.

There were lots of things to really like about this hotel. It was very big and rooms are really spacious... onsite spa, gym and gift shop, and a really good range of food for the buffet breakfast. The staff were always really smiley and helpful! Especially Pinkie at reception, Alex & Mamta at the Mokka cafe, and Pukar at the poolside bar (just to name a few!). The hotel is directly on a lovely private beach with access to loungers and parrasols, and many water sports. Although the hotel is surrounded by lots of lovely greenery and views, it is a bit remote. However, the taxi service connected to the hotel was fantastic! Especially husband and wife taxi duo Desmond & Catherine! They were exceptionally great! They were professional, always on time when booked, knowledgeable, offered great recommendations, charged really reasonable prices, and were warm, kind and very humorous! We could not have asked for a better taxi service to take us around! We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. But i will be honest in saying that if 5 stars was awarded just for lovely service, this hotel would be a worthy 5 stars. But the reality is 5 stars means the standards across the whole hotel should be of the highest standard! But the hotel is quite dated in design and furnishings. The poolside cushions were very worn and many in need of replacing, as well as some other furnishings across the hotel. Aside from that feedback, it is a lovely hotel with great seaviews and very lovely staff!

The rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable and the views fantastic. The beach and pool were well maintained. We took some nice hikes in the surrounding areas. The gym was well maintained. We really enjoyed the sauna in the evenings. There is a lot to do for kids and adults as well. The restaurants provided a good variety of options. We particularly liked the Essence Indian restaurant. The breakfast buffet was excellent.

Outstanding position overlooking the lovely beach with excellent facilities. However, the hotel is let down by its management in several areas, mainly where children are concerned who seem they can do what they want in the hotel without being checked, maybe OK if you stay here with a family, but not so without. Thus if you come here looking for a quiet restful holiday you will be sadly disappointed. Never a 5 star property, personally 4 stars would be about right albeit I have stayed in some better 4 star hotels than here, which is a shame as the commanding position can hardly be bettered. That said it is a little bit out of town so you are faced with a 10 minute drive if you want to shop or eat which is a slight drawback.

We had a really excellent stay at Golden Sands. The staff always went out of their way to be friendly and make a fuss of our daughter. The location can be difficult to access other areas of the island. There is a bus stop right by the hotel but it isn't quick to get to the majority of the tourist destinations, often needing 2 buses. However the stunning location of the hotel right on the cliffs overlooking the sea really makes up for it. It's so easy to access the private beach by lift so no need for walking loads of steps. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and eating breakfast overlooking the stunning view was my favourite thing. I didn't realise when booking that the kids club and family activities were all included in the price so that was a bonus.
Some slight negatives: restaurants are quite pricey as there isn't much else around so they can charge what they like. We came on April so maybe classed as off peak but things like evening music advertised on the app never materialised it was just sports on the tv in the bar which was a shame. Also, my main concern was the balconies. They have horizontal bars so I was nervous my daughter would try and climb them so we never used them. The balconies looked a little rusty and in need of some love but the rest of the room and hotel all looks lovely.
All in all it was a lovely stay and I would stay again as long as I wasn't planning on exploring the island every day as it takes too much of the day to get to other locations.
