This was a nice hotel near family. The room was large. However, we wished there had been a door for the bathroom area. It wasn't very private and made bathroom use a bit uncomfortable. If you were traveling with your spouse it would not be a problem but traveling with others was a bit strange when you needed to use the bathroom. I will say.... I loved the thatched roof. Very cool.

We love love love this hotel. Whenever we are in Nijkerk we want to stay at De Rode Schuur!
I usually sleep for 10 hours a night in their beds.It is so comfortable.

I will say they tried their best to make do with what they have. Should have picked more carefully but as I was told, " you are by the airport what more do you expect " From the A/C not working in the first room the guys did their best to accommodate. For the price I probably could have done better in picking the hotel.. nothing glamorous a typical near the airport a place to lay your head kind of place.

The hotel is situated in the country side not too far from the highway. The room is sparse and there is no counter space in the bathroom. Shower only. The TV is basically a nightmare to try and figure out how to use the various remotes needed. The restaurant was very limited in their food offerings. The staff was not helpful except for one bartender that seemed to want to help.

There was a mix up with the payment at this hotel and the hotel point blankly refused to refund the guests card and charge the travel agent's card. This is a terrible service and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. How they can run a business like this without being able to perform refunds is beyond me. Most unhelpful and rude staff.

Very nice hotel with friendly helpfull staff. It has free wifi and coffee, tea making facility,great restaurant and outside terras.
The room is modern and is nicely furnished. The fabulous semi open bathroom/toilet may not be to everyones taste though as it offers little privacy when using it. In all we would stay there again and recommend the Roode Schuur hotel near Amersfoort,Netherlands.
