Mantra Lake Tekapo

What an absolutely fabulous, beautiful place!!! We stayed in a 3 bedroom family lodge, it was just unbelievable. Felt so luxurious and absolutely all details were perfect, for example lovely quality toiletries. So spacious, we were 3 adults and 2 children. Immaculate stay! Washing machine and dryer in the garage were super convenient. Fully kitted kitchen. Would highly recommend.

Great property for a family of 4. We were only staying one night but would have been great for a longer stay. Lake and town minutes away.

A large apartment was good to skiing stay

We received an upgrade upon arrival. A couple of minor issues such as bedroom light fitting not attached to ceiling, shower fittings loose and gas fire heater not creating much heat even on high. Spacious residence in walking distance of everything. Friendly helpful staff. Overall gets a thumbs up 👍

Well overpriced for what it is. Good location but not lakefront. Apartment was a good size and comfortable but there were quite a few maintenance issues, especially in the bathroom. Really lovely lady on check in, made us feel welcome straight away. A nice place to stay but not for the price tag.

The best so far during our tour in NZ. Fantastic property and properly heating makes all super comfy for our family of 5. Good lighting and warm floor. Perfect to us!

All is well except there was no milk given or left in the fridge so unavlebto have a cup of tea

Our stay was awesome!! The place is bigger than I thought and provided everything you needed and more. Cutest little back patio for afternoon sun. Fireplace below the tv was gorgeous and the bed was comfy! Can’t fault it :))

The accomodation was perfect. It was beautiful and confortable.

Only got to stay 1 night but we were really happy with Mantra Lake Tekapo. We had a large 2 storey house with 3 spacious rooms and good bedding options. I was impressed that it was the first place, we've stay on our entire trip, that had 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets! Much needed for a family of 5 or more. The pool was unfortunately closed for maintenance but the Tekapo Pools were not far up the road and had great views. The lake itself and main shops is close by, easy walking. So pretty! Dining is limited but a few options and there is a good grocery store there too.

Townhouse set up in local community. Walkable to all the sights

Check in was only allowed during a 3.5 hour timeframe. Luckily, I checked the fine print in the posting because they didn't include it in their email. The room setup I requested after they asked how I wanted things arranged wasn't in place. There was no shampoo in the shower, just 2 conditioners. I had tried to contact the property for 5 days prior to arrival and no replies.

This is a wonderful property very close to Lake Tekapo.

We had a great stay overall! The property was nice, and the beds were very comfortable. The location was excellent—easily walkable to town, which was a huge plus. The pool was also fantastic and well-maintained. That said, there were a few minor inconveniences. Some items in the kitchen were broken, and the pump soaps in the bathrooms and showers were empty. I let the front desk know about it, and they assured me it would be taken care of right away, but when we returned at the end of the day, nothing had been done. Housekeeping was supposed to come every three days, but no one ever showed during our four-day stay—not sure if that’s standard or just an oversight. Despite those issues, we’d definitely stay here again. The comfort, location, and amenities outweighed the minor inconveniences, though better follow-through on maintenance and housekeeping would have made it a five-star stay.

This is a great option for larger families and this is our second time staying here. I've taken one star off for not having air conditioning as the upstairs gets very hot. Unfortunately they don't have AC to keep the bedrooms cool. The Doors and windows don't have any fly screens so you can't leave them open as you'd be swamped by bugs and mosquitos if you leave the doors and windows open to cool the place down. They need to install AC in all bedrooms rooms and living rooms and or put screens on doors and windows.
