We Stayed at 4 Clarion hotels in 3 different countries for this trip with mostly good experience until we arrived the Clarion Hotel Copenhagen Airport. Home Hotel Aurora Tromso- Freiza who checked us in was really nice and friendly. She found us the perfect quiet room at the end of a hallway away from the elevator to give us good nights of sleep. Though dinner was simple but helpful when you had a bad meal outside! Perfect location too!

The bed was the most comfortable bed at a hotel that I've ever stayed in. The hotel was central so walking around, you could find anything. The hot tub is NOT INCLUDED. It cost about $50 usd per person for 30 mins. The staff was amazing save one interaction I had. I was going for Fika and the coffee/tea station didn't have any tea so I asked the front desk lady if it's moved or just all gone. She said its over there in the machine. It was not my first day at the hotel but they were doing a remodel so I asked if it was a new machine and went back to check it out again. It was not. I had used the machine before so I mentioned that the machine has the water but im looking for teabags. She got upset and reiterated that it was all over "there". I asked if she could show me because maybe im overlooking it. By this time she was pissed and walked out to the tea area with an attitude. She said someone must have moved it to the new dining area (again, it was under remodel) and that she will just make a new tea caddy. It was all very rude and disrespectful and she didn't apologize for talking to me like I was an idiot.

Great central location. Evening meal and breakfast are brilliant and help to cut down on the cost of eating out every night. Friendly staff always willing to help. Great reception area.

Great light dinner & use of the hotub in a snow storm drinking 🍺 was a great experience

Really enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff, room a little tired but comfortable. Great breakfast and good to have free dinner and afternoon tea and cakes. Great location.

The hotel was in a great location and the food in the restaurant was very good. We loved the rooftop jacuzzi. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Central location, close to the major attractions, restaurants and harbour in tromso. A buffet is provided for breakfast and dinner, with free flow of coffee and tea throughout the day. Would stay again

All was good , rooms small but comfortable. Heating underfloor in bathroom. Breakfast and dinner was a added bonus Would recommend

Lovely staff, comfy bed

Staff all really lovely, particularly reception team. Fab location on the harbour front and very central to the shops and activity pick up points. Rooms very comfortable, we had a superior double and twin. Ours was missing drawers so had nowhere to unpack clothes but otherwise rooms were great. Rooftop jacuzzi was a bonus. Our only criticism would be food. Breakfast and fika (afternoon tea and cake) were both great but dinner was limited. We stayed 3 nights and on 2 nights there was only one option, the same pork stew. Food itself was good but if you didn't like the main dish, you could struggle

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Complimentary breakfast, fika, and supper every day (with vegetarian and vegan options if requested) was certainly a bonus.

Amazing 2 night stay, very friendly and helpful staff, we moved to another property for rest of our stay as there were no rooms with seaview available. The breakfast, cakes for tea, and dinner were delicious. Thank you

Hotel provided breakfast and even dinner for guests, which were unexpected! Definitely recommended as food prices in that area were high. The room was clean and heater was working well.

We had a good stay just before Christmas and the included breakfast afternoon snack and dinner were very convenient when we didn't want to venture out after a long day out. (More on the food in a moment) The room was very comfortable however the shower took a long time to heat up every time (15 minutes!) which was a bit annoying. The room was very peaceful and hotel very conveniently located in town. The food was generally good, however anything off the 'hot buffet' at breakfast and dinner was quite lukewarm even straight after it was brought out. The afternoon snack mentions waffles on the website but we never saw any waffles, just one type of tray-bake cake each day with coffee and hot water set out but no non-dairy milk option, I could only find non dairy milk at breakfast. I overheard some vegan guests really struggling to find anything to eat for their evening meals even dispute a sign saying things can be made for dietary requirements etc. overall the stay was good but I would have preferred the food to be hotter. The receptionist also seemed to disappear quite often with no means of calling for them to come back or sign left out one evening so was waiting around the lobby with several other guests for over 20 minutes one evening when I wanted to ask for an extra pillow.

They don’t clean the room for you each day unless requested in advance. The room was really basic, no fridge which was quite a downer. For the price paid it’s quite disappointing. The breakfast and daily evening meal was quite substantial so that’s good. Overall, the location was great so that saves us a lot of time.

Location: The hotel is conveniently located right in front of Port and provided unmatched views of both Tromsø Bridge and the Lights. It is also at walking distance from city centre and major attractions. One of the highlight is walking around the port late evenings for sighting Auroras on clear sky. Food: Breakfast was amazing with vareity of options suitable for vegetarians, vegan, lactose intolerant and meat lovers. Dinner however had less options for vegetarians and could be improved. Overall an excellent location to stay with your friends or family.
