Det begynte med at de ikke klarte å finne bookingen vår, så vi fikk ikke sjekket inn før arrangementet vi skulle på startet (og dermed ikke dusjet og gjort oss klare som planlagt). Ingen tilbud om å oppbevare bagasjen for oss heller, så den fikk vi sette i bilen så lenge.
Fikk deretter tildelt det minste hotellrommet jeg har møtt, langt fra det vi hadde bestilt. Badet var så lite at man måtte sitte på toalettet for å dusje, og lydisolasjonen så dårlig at vi lett kunne ha en samtale gjennom lukket dør.
Veldig skuffet over hele opplevelsen, og vil på ingen måte anbefale dette hotellet videre. På et normalt hotell hadde man blitt oppgradert i slike tilfeller, særlig siden problemet lå på deres side!

This is an older hotel that has been nicely refurbished. I found it to be comfortable and quiet. My room faced the street and I did not hear any noise during the night. It is located close to the waterway and it is a nice walk along there. There are restaurants, shopping and a good atmosphere in the area. You can walk as there are bridges over the waterway or take the water taxi to the old walled city. I would stay there again if visiting Fredrikstad.

A lovely restoration of an old hotel although rooms are just a little small to be able to spread out two suitcases comfortably. staff were fantastic and breakfast was good although coffee was a little weak for my taste. in fairness I like my coffee stronger than most folks. Comfortable beds and good shower but it would have been nice to have more space to put things.

A lovely old hotel in a central riverside location. Our 4th floor room was smallish but comfortable with large bed, decent shower, TV and tiny fridge. Breakfast was good. There is very limited parking at the rear of the hotel - if you park on the street it's Nok42 per hour from 8am to 9pm.- maximum 2 hours. Better to park at Apenesfjellet Parkeringhus on St Croix Gate about 5 minutes walk away and beside the Quality Hotel. Hotel Fredrikstad backs on to the river and a stroll along the riverside is a pleasant way to pass some time. There are a number of places to dine here also.

Very charming hotel and friendly staff. It's central and close to eateries. The room was very nice and had beautiful view on the church. There was complimentary pancakes offered in the evening with typical Norwegian brown cheese. The breakfast was good.

Staff were so very helpful, giving advice where everything you needed was, and how to get there ! Close to the town centre and river for a lovely walk down by the river and loads of bars and restaurants riverside. Coming back this year and will be booking in at the same place !

We loved this unique family owned hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a quaint hotel that is not cookie cutter, stay here. The location was fantastic too. Walking distance to restaurants on the water.
