When we arrived, it was raining and we thought we were in the middle of nowhere. The Hotel was a little blah from the outside. However, as things cleared, we realized this is a pretty funky part of Oslo with a river running through it. Have dinners at the big food hall next door--they're delicious. Walk on the river path. Eat at Bonderibyen Olso, and check out the area.

Things were a bit rundown in the room. Outlets shedding, lamps not working, strange gaps in the listing. And it would be nice if the spare toilet paper had some kind of cover around it.

Great hotel. Frequent visitor, great breakfast. My only gripe would be to have blinds instead of curtains that don’t quite have the reach to block out the light. If you’re staying in Oslo in June bring an eye mask.

The hotel, in general, is just ok. Positive: location and the awesome breakfast. Negatives: very small room; no amenities at all (not even a kettle, and they charge you for a cup of tea!); there's no wardrobe in the room or even space to keep your bag, I've found this very strange; room needs some maintenance; we opted for a daily 'refresh' cleaning, but all they did was to replace the bag in the bathroom bin.

Very nice hotel. Breakfast was good, but not extraordinary. Decent gluten-free options. Unlucky for me, the "smart" tv in my room was not smart enough to connect to the internet, and did not work at all. Staff was overall excellent.

An overnight stay near the hospital, had most of what you’d need, rooms felt a bit like a fishbowl with surrounding windows but otherwise; staff were great, breakfast was excellent and room was clean. Overall lovely stay.

Unfortunately me and my husband wished we had stayed at a different hotel. We checked in and were given a ground floor room next to the road. There was a half finished beer and the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned. This was quickly rectified by the member of staff however we were given a room again a few doors down next to a busy road. The room often didn’t lock when we first tried to close it. We were a little anxious leaving the room because of this. We had cleaning on the 2nd day and I am pretty sure the cleaner just remade our bed and took our bins away. We didn’t get clean glasses which had been used. The door also to the corridor with ground floor rooms 401-406 did not lock properly which made us more apprehensive about leaving the room as it was easy access to people staying.

The hotel is modern and laid out very well. The rooms are clean and very quiet with thick double glazing. The room was warm too which was good as cold outside. We didn’t like the ‘separate duvets’ on the double bed but apparently this is a Norwegian thing. Not having any wardrobe or drawers was odd but luckily only a few days so kept things in the suitcase or on the small space for hangers. Breakfast was wonderful, highly recommended.

The local area was a treat to explore; the river meandered into the city one way and the traditional houses allowed an alternative walk into the city. The bedrooms were basic and could benefit from a security box and tea making facilities. The mattresses were extremely soft.
