Lula's Bed & Breakfast

Excellent breakfast. Great location. Wonderful hosts.

Rooms were very clean but simple Not luxurious, but for an island B&B was excellent AC and fan kept the room cool. breakfast was a choice of 3 options ( eggs or pancakes or yogurt with granola ) and at a communal table. Laundry was available and done for you at $10.00 per load. the owner, Tami, was always available for recommendations.

Tammy and Allan are great hosts. They are friendly and full of information which they willingly shared to make our trip extremely enjoyable!

A nice, clean comfortable place to stay in town within walking distance from the marina etc. Tammy and her staff were friendly and helpful. There is a nice upstairs porch where you can relax and look at the water. The breakfast was good and it was nice that they provided bottled water, room in the refrigerator and beach towels. Definitely recommend!

Everything was great! Tammy was in contact with us before our arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were clean and spacious. She had great little touches throughout. Comfy furniture in common places with games and cards. Breakfast was fresh cooked and served. We will stay there again next time we’re in Bocas Town

This place has an authentically old character that cannot be found in a newer place. The staff is incredibly helpful, friendly and competent.

We had a really great stay at Lulas House! It truly is a Bed & Breakfast which made our time there so enjoyable. The owners are super nice and so helpful with everything. Tammy was always willing to provide us with recommendations and help with anything around town. The breakfast was yummy and there is just an amazing atmosphere around the house. They also go above and beyond to provide amenities that are so helpful for your vacation (beach towels, umbrellas for rainy days, access to kitchen and space in a big fridge, etc). If you are looking for a chill and comfortable space that is walkable to all the things in town, look no further!

I enjoyed my stay at Lula B&B. Tammy was very helpful and nice. We had a great time and breakfast which were included, was delicious. I stayed 5 days from 23 to 27 September 2025.

Excellent and very friendly staff

Allen was attentive and accommodating when we arrived. He went out of his way to give recommendations of what to see in town. Property so personal and clean. Bocas is a great quaint town. There was road construction going on but was not loud.

Lula's is a charming place with delighfully warmand friendly host and staff. Always attentive to the guest, Tammy make you feel right at home. Its nice to stay in a building with character and Caribbean charm.

We stayed at Lula’s BnB for 3 nights. While the location was convenient, the overall experience was disappointing. Communication around check-in was unclear—we confirmed our arrival time twice, yet were met with a sign saying no one was available. The host later contacted us and seemed frustrated we hadn’t connected, despite no indication she was present. Her tone felt dismissive, and the next morning she made a passive comment about it in front of other guests. We didn’t feel welcome during our stay, and another guest experienced similar treatment after making a simple breakfast request. There was loud construction happening throughout the town and right next to the BnB. Work often started by 6:30 a.m., making it difficult to get restful sleep. Cleanliness also left much to be desired—there were bug stains on the bathroom wall, an empty shampoo bottle with hair on it, and leftover food (including a half-eaten bar) in our room’s bin from a previous guest. The shared upstairs kitchen was also in poor condition, with no utensils or cutlery available. We ended up eating both of our yogurts with a single fork found in the dish bin. The space was overall quite dirty. We did meet some friendly travellers while staying, but overall we had a poor experience and would not recommend to people visiting Bocas Del Toro. We feel as though the 9.6 rating on Expedia is not reflective of the current conditions and likely is based off of many older, invalid reviews.
