Our stay at Titicaca Origins was nothing short of magical. The boat transfer through the reeds to the tiny floating islands is fascinating and waiting to greet us was Delia with a huge smile. We stayed in a luxury room which was absolutely stunning with mahogany wooden floors, and panoramic windows to allow you to drink in the views and stargaze by night. It was sheer joy to sit on the deck a world away from reality soaking up views of the reed islands and the surrounding mountains. The star of the show was Angie, the newest member of the family and a curious 2 year old keen to engage with visitors. Despite her grandmother repeatedly showing up to take her away, she would find her way back for dancing, drawing and childish chatter. What an angel! Staying here gave us insight into life on the islands and provided a unique experience which I would highly recommend. We stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Titicaca Origins Peru. It was a perfect blend of rustic and modern. Wilbur and Delia were wonderful hosts and provided us with the necessary amenities to make our stay comfortable while at the same time allowing us to enjoy a Uros experience. The room was very clean and the bed so comfortable. They also set up an excursion to Taquile Island. The continental breakfast was satisfying and the dinners were tasty Peruvian meals. I highly recommend this place!

Delia took care of us like family. My friend got sick and she helped us in so many ways to make my friend feel better, we really appreciate it. My friend felt much better the next day and he was even able to take a tour with me. If we go back to Puno, we’ll stay there again.

The property is beautiful, and the family here is so sweet and welcoming. They have an option to have lunch and dinner made for you, which I highly recommend as you are not on the mainland. The food was delicious and healthy. The view of the stars at night was breathtaking. The option to dress in traditional cloths and have a reed boat ride on the lake at sunset was unforgettable. This was my favorite part of our Peru trip, and I wish we had the opportunity to stay even longer.

Great stay with very kind hosts. This is a B&B type lodging where a married couple (Adelia and Wilmar) caters to your needs. You'll sleep in a comfortable hut on the island with more amenities than you'd imagine was possible while staying on a floating island: Hot water, running water, in-room propane heater, compositing toilet. Adelia and her sister serve tasty simple meals. Wilmar will shuttle you to/from the mainland and take you on a quick tour on his reed boat. The couple has done an amazing job creating everything on the island. The island itself, the solar panels, water pumps, drainage, fish farm, huts, etc. were all built by them. I had a wonderful time learning about their way of life and enjoying the breathtaking (literally and figuratively) views.

Our stay here was very nice. The view from our room and balcony was beautiful & very peaceful. The family was so nice and helpful. The food they made was tasty. We ate breakfast and dinner twice. It was such a unique stay that I’d recommend. It gets chilly at night but wear layers and you are fine. They bring hot water bottles to keep you warm. I would also recommend charging your electronics before coming because we didn’t have an outlet in our room to charge but we had a charge pack with us so it wasn’t an issue.

The lodge is BEAUTIFUL and the family is so accommodating. All the meals they made were delicious and the views are magnificent. The bathroom is lovely—no odor at all even though it’s a composting toilet. And even though the temp drops at night, the bed keeps you very warm. 10/10 recommend if you want to relax & immerse yourself in culture. The family is so kind.
