The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect. Our flight from Vancouver (YVR) arrived very early—around 5:00 AM—and we headed straight to the hotel. The Shangri-La staff went above and beyond, graciously checking us into our room by 10:00 AM, which was such a blessing after a long flight.
While we waited, they offered us access to the change rooms so we could freshen up and change—such a thoughtful touch.
Our room featured a stunning view of the city and was spotless, beautifully decorated, and surprisingly spacious. We chose to include breakfast with our stay, and it turned out to be the best decision—no exaggeration, the breakfast buffet was expansive and filled with the most delicious options!
We truly felt spoiled staying at the Shangri-La and are so glad we chose it. We’ll definitely be back one day.
Bonus tip: If you’re visiting on a Sunday, the main roads close down in the morning for pedestrians—you can run, walk, or bike through the city. It’s such a unique and fun experience!

Makati Shangri La was awesome. We ate in the lobby for dinner two nights. Shirlyn took great care of us. She was attentive and friendly. The food was great and the environment with live music and comfortable setting was amazing.

Hotel badly needs renovation. Carpet seems to not experienced cleaning in the last 10 years. Interior outdated. Utensils and plate has extra charge! Limited choices in breakfast buffet. Unluckily, our weekend stay coincides with the ABS CNN ball so there's lot of people all over. Elevators are hellish as well because of the event. Only redeeming factor were the friendly and helpful staff.
