Plantation Bay Resort and Spa

Overall good but some restaurant and facilities were closed. The resort is lacking a lounge bar with music and not much of a beach. Great spa facilities and large water pools and man made lagoons.

we have 3 months old baby and toddler and we ask for complimentary late check out atleast 30 mins so we can pack and get ready but they told us no. they even charge a 4years old in their breakfast. we cant use phone in any restaurant while people around us are WAY TOO LOUD. this resort cater foreigner only

We’re happy for staying In Plantation Bay

Our experience was not good. Despite booking a King size bed we found we were given two double beds. No King size beds available. The restaurants were snack bars and cafes. No bars, evening drinks in the main cafe only. Most of the food items we tried to order ‘were out of stock, Sir’. We tried all the restaurants Kilamanjaro, Fiji Japanese and Route 66 diner. All the food was very average but had 5 star prices. Food just about OK. Breakfast for me was eggs and omelette on toast every morning because the Mexican breakfast, Chinese breakfast then next day Italian breakfast were honestly terrible. Would have been nice for a proper international buffet? All the staff were polite and friendly but they had no authority to make simple decisions….just sorry Sir. We tried to get our late check out that we requested on check in, sadly they told us sorry the hotel is busy we can’t do that? When I spoke with the duty manager he just told me he was very sorry but we could extend for a few extra hours with a Php 3000pesos plus fee? No thanks ..everything seemed too much trouble. I can’t understand why this hotel has a five star rating? When I asked the check out staff they told me it was the owner that gave it that rating. If this was given truthfully an average 3 star rating it would be correct. It wouldn’t ever achieve a 5 star hotel from a International auditor. Don’t waste your holiday or money booking here…try one of the main named 5 star hotels. Check out the other poor reviews?

It’s a beautiful resort. We enjoyed it even if we only stayed on a short amount of time.

great place for vacation

It was an amazing experience at Plantation Bay and any feedback I have does not reflect a negative view but for awareness. The no tipping policy is great and even without it the service is top notch. Very impressive. The food options feel somewhat limited and I wouldn’t say I would stay for the food. The best aspect of the food was the morning buffet and there are so many options and a theme each day changes. I would have preferred to have some more casual options with lower price points but you do get quality food at a higher cost. There is not a microwave in the rooms so any left overs had to be heated up in the children’s play area.

A beautiful room on the lagoon a dip through the saltwater pool to get to one of the best hotel pools anywhere. I really enjoyed my short stay here.

I like the staff very dedicated and motivated. The place is quite good for relaxation . I dont like some of the restaurants they are closed in some days.

Beautiful resort with a lot of things to do and places to eat

Overall the staff and property are wonderful. The pools could be cleaned a bit more but we enjoyed the lagoon and paddle boarding. Food options were not great, portions were small and often the descriptions did not match the meals. I highly recommend use of the spa facilities as the treatments are relaxing and the staff is great. A bit more ease in transportation would be great, more shuttle time options. Overall recommend anyone to this resort.

Having stayed at all inclusive and or resort properties on 6 continents, I can say this was one of, if not the best. It is not all inclusive, and can be considered expensive for South East Asia, but it was well worth the price. It was less money per night than the Hilton Saigon Executive Lounge Floor, and offered more amenities. The staff are exceptional, and are the main reason I rTe this gorgeous proprty so high. Great rest and relation befor the long journey back to Boston. The spa was epic. Infrared sauna, steam, salt and fresh water hot and cool spa pools and amazing massage offerings. Leaving for my flight relaxed and pain free. Highly recommend Plantation Bay Resort & Spa.

The restaurants are bad they serve all the same food. No thanks wont come again.

Always a good place to go to. Staff aways very helpful. My son was a little eick and the nurses on site did erything that i could have possible adked for.at no charge. Thank you Plantation Bay!

10/10 resort, worth every penny! If you are after a 5-star luxurious resort with a world class hospitality, then you have come to the right place. Not the best beach, but the resort and the amenities and hospitality will make up for it. Will definitely stay here again.

This was an amazing stay experience. ABSOLUTELY beautiful place, many and diverse amenities and activities. Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. Amazing spa facilites. Only downside is that it is located away from Cebu City itself with it's airport and ferry terminals. That location adds 1 to 2 hours travel time (and costs) to those locations as well as other "day-trip" excursions off-property.

We love all the upgrades that the facility gave us. The spa experience was great, restaurants offered a variety of delicious dishes, staff are friendly, the facility is safe and welcoming. Overall experience was excellent.
