Fazenda Nova - Country House

Property was surrounded by orange groves and was very peaceful. Enjoyed the property and the grounds - very relaxing and a great retreat. Room was fantastic!

Beautiful gem! Perfect if looking for a peaceful place away from the tourist hustle. An easy drive through the countryside into town, great staff, clean & wonderful room, lovely & private, gardens, pool, delicious coffee & food.

Amazing place, great staff, beautiful classy rooms

We had an amazing stay at the Fazenda Nova. The house is surrounded by multi-acre property, with beautiful landscaped gardens, and fruit and olive groves. There are pools set in the garden, and numerous well-designed walking paths and rest areas under the trees. The main house itself and the guest quarters are built according to a well-thought-through designer architectural plan, with a clever mix of traditional and modern style features. Everything is of high quality and reliable - from the furniture to fixtures and dinnerware. All the employees are very nice, healthful, and kind. And the breakfast was amazing. One of the top two we had on this month-long trip, and the only one comparable to this one was at a historic pousada. Fruit and vegetables they serve are from their garden. My wife asked for mint tea, and to our pleasant surprise the mint was fresh from the garden. I am sure this property if not easy to book in the high season, but in December the price was very reasonable. In sum, we are looking forward to staying here again next year.

Stylish, friendly and relaxing. Lots of lovely spots to sit, especially loved the ‘beach’ area. Lovely food, really well cooked. So much beautiful coastline to visit, if you can bear to leave.

This is an excellent high-end spa-like facility. It is a working farm that grows a substantial portion of the fruit and vegetables served. There are many beautiful outdoor spaces where hotel guests can relax and rest. The rooms are modern, comfortable, well designed and well furnished. Most have a private terrace, cleverly and aesthetically separated from other guests by fruit trees and shrubbery. The included breakfasts were excellent, with delicious fruits, eggs to order, breads cheeses and pastries. They also serve lunch daily, which included a salad with sardines which we had ordered—Those sardines were the best we had encountered in Portugal. Dinner is also offered. Spa services—including massages and other health alternatives are available. They have a full bar and an indoor area up a flight of stairs in the main building where guests can listen to a >1000 vinyl record collection of popular songs. A roof deck offers views of the ocean and countryside. We visited Fuzeta beach and Tavira, both a short 15-20 minute drive from there. The staff provided a map and recommended restaurants. We could have used a longer orientation at the beginning. I want to commend evening staff, whom we sought out once when I wasn’t feeling well. They were very concerned for my comfort and exceedingly helpful. There is a high cost of staying there—but if you have the resources and want a high-end spa, this is a great place to stay in.

Fantastic place to relax far away from all the noise. They have few guest rooms in the property which makes it exclusive and cosy. You MUST have a car if you are staying here and want to see close by places, since it is kind of in the middle of nowhere.

The old traditional building is beautiful, and the decor inside is very modern and amazing attention to detail. Food was great. Hotel is not big which makes the experience even better. Would definitely recommend for a few days!

This place is the absolute dream. A gorgeous oasis in the Portugese countryside with every detail catered for. Need a wind break for the beach? They've got it. Forgotten a hat? Got those too. Literally every little detail thought of and so beautifully done. Staff are wonderful, the grounds are divine. Can't recommend highly enough. The only minor niggle is the price of food...Eating out (and eating really well) is cheap in Portugal, especially all the gorgeous fresh sea food so paying €22 for a burger at the hotel irks a little! If you're considering booking just do it. You won't regret it

A very stylish and comfortable place with lovely gardens and a swimming pool. Adults only, so perfect for couples who want some quiet time together. Near restaurants and shops. You will need a car as if is fairly isolated.

It was truly a great experience to stay at the Fazenda Nova. The staff was the most courteous and helpful staff especially Diego. The room which we stayed at was No.8 Apartment which was excellent. and the entire property is something we thoroughly enjoyed. From the bar and the lounge to the dining area with the soft music in the back ground. The pool was also great except that there should be "No mobile usage" policy for voice application. one could use the mobile for browsing or messaging which does not disturb the other guests. During our stay there was one lady who was truly annoying which allowed us to actually move away from the pool area due to her obnoxious phone manners. But overall we had a Great stay.

The staff and facilities at Fazenda Nova were nothing short of amazing. The facility was beautiful and incredibly calming. Having stayed at a number of boutique hotels throughout the world, I can genuinly say, Fazenda is definitely up there with the top of them.

Lieu exceptionnel, un véritable havre de paix a taille humaine dans un cadre somptueux, entouré d'oliviers et décoré avec soin. Le personnel est très accueillant et serviable, la piscine et le grand jardin sont très agréables. Un lieu idéal pour se relaxer, profiter du soleil et prendre du temps pour soi Une voiture est toutefois nécessaire pour tous les déplacements hors de l'hôtel.

Toller Aufenthalt. Nichts zu beanstanden! Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Exceptionnel calme, très belle deco et beaucoup de gentillesse

Nydelig sted, men ganske upraktisk uten bil. Første dag var restauranten stengt slik at vi måtte ta taxi til og fra Tavira. Dagen vi hadde booket ridning fikk vi ikke beskjed om oppmøtested, som var 16 (!) km unna og dermed en taxitur på 70 euro som kom i tillegg. Selvsagt ikke noe stort problem, men vi burde ha fått beskjed i forkant. God Nat i restauranten, men ganske dyrt.
