Villa Coral

I couldn’t make it to Vieques 17-20 April 2025, because of the black out and let them know. They not only charged me the “no show” . They charged the full reservation $300.00. Tried to reach them by mail and through this app and never answer. . Don’t recommend it !

We don't know as when we arrived it wasn't even open and no one was there, property changed hands and was under renovation... Hotels.com shouldn't have been offering this place as an option... We were stranded on the island with nowhere to go

It was a pleasure to stay at this place, Amanda is super friendly and always willing to help with everything. The area is nice since there’s so many things. I’d definitely come back and stay here!

Our recent stay at Villa Coral Guesthouse left much to be desired. We arrived promptly at 3:30 PM for our scheduled check-in, only to find that our room was not properly cleaned. The bed was unmade, and the bathroom was in a less than hygienic state, complete with garbage and used towels scattered about. Fortunately, we encountered a cleaning lady attending to other rooms, so we decided to give her some time to tidy up. However, upon our return, we were disappointed to find that while the bed was made, the same dirty sheets and blanket were just rearranged. The used towel, instead of being replaced, was merely folded and returned to the hanger. To add to our frustration, the coffee machine was filthy, clearly not cleaned after the previous guests. Additionally, the small common area on the balcony was quite dusty, which did not help the overall ambiance. Given the state of cleanliness and attention to detail, we cannot recommend Villa Coral Guesthouse and will not be returning. This experience was far below our expectations, and we hope they take steps to improve their standards in the future.

The unit had roaches and the sheets were stained. Very bad experience.

Villa Coral is a great option for Vieques. There is easy parking in a lot right in front of the building (no worries about street parking!) in a quiet residential area. The main drive with restaurants, etc is an easy 10 minute walk. The pickup point for the bio bay is also 10 minutes to walk(2 minutes from the main area with restaurants) Jesse is a great host that has provided all things like beach towels and beach chairs as well as a binder with recommended beaches and descriptions so you can spend less time deciding and more time at the beach! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Checkin was seamless. All rooms were clean and inviting. Patio outside room was in good condition and clean. The roof top sitting area had a great view. All in all a solid place to stay.

No hot water and the place needs to be fixed outside. The rooms are ok.

Our ferry to the main island was canceled. We were able to book this and have a place to sleep. It was clean and easy to check in to.

It’s a beautiful place to stay

The property needs a substantial refresh. The bed was extremely creaky and noisy and should be replaced. The sheets were clean but very dated. The internet was good.

Toilet was dirty and coffee machine

The Room doesn't have Napkins, which I thought was included by default as a basic necessity. When asked they said Napkins won't be provided since they didn't write it in the amenities and I was told to use toilet paper instead. The bed is very creaky and I kept waking up as I rolled around

Bugs inside the room , there was one table , on that coffee machine was there , and bugs in that area. No staff on the property. Price is high for the facility we got. I hope they will give us refund for service they provide.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The place is sketchy, the host never showed up and everything was handled by a guy who claimed to be the neighbor. We weren’t given the key until the second day. It was noisy at night with a machine running. The guy offered to switch us to a different room but we’ve seen cockroaches!! We decided to do a late checkout at 3 and later on moved to 4 (told him ahead of time) but the host won’t reply to our messages but charged us for one more night of stay anyways.

The guesthouse was extremely basic, and didn't feel particularly safe/secure, so $150/night turned out to be hugely overpriced for the room. There were no hand towels or washcloths; only 2 bath towels and 2 beach towels. A couple of things in the room were broken. The front door of the house is open 24/7, with lock-boxes for the room keys outside each individual room in the hallway. So in the middle of the night, the hallway was very loud when other guests were entering their rooms. It also sounded like a It felt like a hostel, with the exception that it was not a shared room.

The property owner was very helpful in helping us with transportation and easy checkin. Very nice and clean space for the stay

Sheets a little dirty some bugs but friendly staff nice bathroom

Room/apartment does not look like the pictures. It was not cleanly - stains on the sheets, dust/grime in the corners, dishes not done, rust on appliances. There was no WiFi available. The staff was unprepared and tardy. There was no shelf or rack for towels in the bathroom.
