This property is a hidden gem! We loved being able to walk all around the city center. Great location and good service.

Fantastic location with friendly, helpful staff. The building is really rustic but added to the ‘authenticity’ of the city. I really enjoyed my stay and I would stay again. But it should be noted that there is no elevator and while this wasn’t a problem for me, it could be for others.

Just a little loud due to the central location and the weekend! Close to everything and spacious and super clean! Would return for sure!

Enjoyed our stay at The Golden Age ... located almost perfectly between old town and the Winceslas shopping district. Be sure to ask for more pillows - the pillows are ultra soft and flatten out easily, not giving much support.

The location cannot be beat, though parking is a major issue. We ended up parking on the street some distance away and taking an Uber. The staff were okay but not the friendliest or most helpful. The room was excellent, no complaints at all.

Our private bath was not connected to our room and we had to go out in a private hall to access it. Very old and run down. Not as pictured at all. Our most disappointing hotels.com booking to date.

Located in the heart of the old town, you can't get much closer to the centre of the action in this city. The hotel itself is quite quirky - there really is no reception (or check-in) after 10pm. As other reviewers note, there are NO lifts, it's stairs all the way - and there's no air conditioning, although a fan is provided. My room was large and spacious, and situated on the side of the building away from the market which is a lot quieter. It is worth upgrading to the deluxe room for that reason alone - the street outside is noisy long into the night. The "free" breakfast is nothing special, but it will certainly keep you going until lunchtime at least. The staff are friendly, and ready to answer any questions you might have. The shower is also very good. If you're looking for a decent mid-range hotel in Prague Old Town that isn't a complete rip-off (and isn't a hostel in disguise), you could do a lot worse than the Golden Age.

Good value for money, 2 min walk to the main sq and 10 minutes walk to Charles bridge. Metro line A and B around the corner so easy access to the airport.

We enjoyed our stay at Golden Age Prague, which is centrally located in Old Town. The price was excellent, and the room was large with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was a nice touch in the morning. The hotel is a bit dated in places, but is really excellent value for the price. Hotel staff were very friendly and kind. Bear in mind: because the location is so central, the area around the building can get a bit loud after the clubs let out in the early hours of morning. Our room was on the first floor, and so we heard this most nights, although it didn't negatively affect our stay in any way. The hotel is also in an older building, and so there are only stairs, which could make it inaccessible for some guests.

The woman that checked us in was rude. Also there is no airport shuttle included with the price of the hotel. Read carefully a shuttle is only "available" for 30 euros. It is also like a bed and breakfast where you are expected to leave your key each time you leave to hotel. The hotel staff also never asked for ID when returning and asking for the key. They even gave us the key to someone else's room on accident.

We had a very good 2 night stay at Prague Golden Age. It's a cute small hotel in a very good condition near Wenceslas Square and Mustek metro station. The service is friendly and helpful and they serve great breakfast in a pretty dining room. You wake up to the aroma of fresh coffee and fresh hot pastry. The hot water and selection of teas is always available in the dining room. The hotel is on the street that has a popular very busy market so if you use a shuttle or a cab they won't be able to come to the door. Golden Age is in an old building without an elevator but with steep circular staircase. Keep that in mind, and that 2nd floor in Europe is American third. On our arrival the mail receptionist took our luggage up to our 3d floor room. On checkout we had to take it down ourselves. Our third floor room was cute but tiny, almost no space for luggage. We decided not to care because everything else was great. There's also no AC, as probably in the majority of hotels in old buildings in this area so we kept the window open and listened to the sounds of old city. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this lovely hotel.

Our experience of the hotel was quite conflicting of other excellent reviews. The staff were mostly quite rude and unhelpful. Two female receptionists and the breakfast staff in particular were very rude. The twin room is definitely not big enough for two adults and two suitcases! The breakfast was satisfactory, and the local area is spot on. Our shower was broken and the shower plug was completely blocked. Rest of room was clean
