The hotel is very convenient for the Armadillo theatre. We have stayed at the hotel many times since it opened, and it is generally clean and comfortable, but it is now in need of refurbishment. The breakfast buffet was very good as usual.

Our stay was spoiled the moment we arrived and seeing the queue waiting to check in. We ended up waiting 35 minutes to get to the check in desk and another 15 minutes trying to check in as seemingly there was an issue with the checking in process even though the other guests around us seemed to be fine ?? At that point in steps Alan to help and told us it was what it is and we would just have to wait. He showed no interest in the fact we had already waited 50 minutes !! We were very disappointed in his overall attitude to the situation. The club lounge on the Saturday night was a joke, there was seating for 26 people which were all taken leaving another dozen or so people standing around eating their food packed in like sardines. Apart from these 2 issues the next day went a lot smoother and everything was fine.

The hotel is nice and staff were very helpful. We had to queue twice to check in and asked to wait twice because our room wasn’t ready. The staff member did give us our upgrade, a drink at the bar and breakfast on the house. I did appreciate the gesture but our room on the 16th floor was very noisy with what I can only imagine was the hotel air con. It was so very loud. I would recommend staying at the hotel but don’t take the upgrade unless you are on a floor lower than 14 as floor 15 has the club lounge and I imagine the rooms under would be noisy. Breakfast was good and well stocked.

Hotel is clean and modern throughout, ended up being quite reasonable for the kind of hotel it is. Check-in was quick even though there was a big que. Cant fault the hotel for the stay and breakfast was amazing aswell. The only negative was the meal we had in the evening, starter came almost straight away which was good, we waited 45 minutes for the main to come which never did, asked at the bar what had happened and it eventually came. Wifes meal was ok but my fish was cold and only just edible. We had a show to go and see so we didnt have time to mess about. We did get a drinks voucher each as an apology but as we were so short on time, we ended up giving it to another guest to use.

We booked this hotel as the concert hall was right next door. Plenty of parking at an additional fee of £12. Reception was fast and we had a very polite lady who was very helpful. Our room was spacious with complimentary water and hot drinks sachets. Very clean, comfy beds although our sliding wardrobe doors were quite stiff to open. Shower hot and plenty of towels. We had the lift entrance door outside our room but we didn't hear it through the night. Breakfast was very busy due to the concert but we were seated within a few minutes and the service and breakfast was fantastic. Check out easy and again met with a smile. Excellent hotel. Thank you.

The Crowne Plaza is our go to hotel whenever we are in Glasgow. However this stay was a disappointment. On check in the staff member was friendly. We were given room 1220. When we got into the lift it smelt like sick. On opening the door to our room we instantly got a strong damp smell. At first we thought we would put up with it but it was very overpowering. My husband went down to reception and asked if we could change rooms and we were given room 1122. This room was a lot fresher. The room was spacious with lovely views over the Clyde. The plug in the sink was broken which was a bit annoying for my husband shaving. We used the pool facilities twice which was very nice. We ate in the restaurant on our first night. I ordered the tagine and my husband ordered the beef burger. We also got a portion of nachos to share. The nachos came out, they were nicely presented but didnt taste good. Im not sure how they were cooked but wonder if they were deep fried. Our main course was taken out my husband was served a chicken burger which is not what he ordered. Both our meals were taken back to the kitchen while a beef burger was prepared. After about 10 mins the correct meals were served. The waiting staff were not attentive and not once were we asked if we wanted any more drinks. We decided not to bother with any dessert after this. The final nail in the coffin was being charged £24 car parking for our 2 night stay. I thought the 12GBP was for the entire stay not per night.
